Excert from todays SMH - article with relation to Ando and the kangaroo tour........

"Sharks utility Phil Bailey confirmed from the team's Auckland hotel last night that his future with the club was in doubt as a result of the Anderson imbroglio. Bailey, whose switch from the back row to the centres at Anderson's behest has taken him from being a bench player to an international, has a get-out clause should the coach leave.

"I suppose you would say my future's a bit up in the air," Bailey said. "With all the stuff that's going on with Chris, the question of who is going to be shunted where, there is some uncertainty."

I cant see him going anywhere but who knows?

WT? Don't players play for the pride of their club and jersey anymore preferring to place their loyalty on whether a coach leaves or stays???

before everyone gets carried away

read what mr bailey has actually said

not the "journalists" byline

nowhere in his words is an indication he will leave

it would of been nice if they also published the actual questions that solicited those answers

Didn't you know Manly supporters can't read (or so I was told yesterday) I'm going to sue a good shire school in Heathcote public for their inability to teach me to read :p

i read on another forum that he was a manly junior and would love to comeback to manly.
Well firstly i know he played for manly 1st division and the NEs but i dont think he was a manly junior.
Secondly i dont care if he was the australian captain i dont want him at manly, he was one of the first to jump ship at the end of 2001 and our club doesnt need players who look for the exit as soon as things get tough.

Bailey came from Inverell Cliffy. Pretty sure he was a junior roo. Dont know how he ended up at Manly (Sharpe maybe). He's pretty loyal to Anderson so who knows where he'll end up.

actually your right inverell and that twigs my memory, our 1st Division coach from this season John Ried found him when he was scouting for manly a few years back.

Club Loyalty? How about personal loyalty!!!! Anderson picked up Phil Bailey when he was a nuffy playing for a nuffy club. He saw something in Bailey that others didn't or could get the best out of him. He has now been a regular and star player for the Sharks. Represented N.S.W and now on the verge of an Australian debut.

Do you think he shouldn't be a little upset the guy who gave him the chance for all this is likely to get the boot???

And guess who stays...........Bozo the clown and his followers!

Question. Who do you think Bailey has the greater respect for ?

A successful Australian coach who turned him into a rep player.........OR the blind leading the blind club board who are fighting for the chair in the board room closest to the water cooler.

A successful Australian coach? I could even coach the Kangaroos to win virtually every test match they play. Bailey's loyalty should be for the club first and foremost and if he can't be then he should go and off and play somewhere else.

Personal Loyalty ?

Club Loyalty is what wins premierships and what seems lacking at our club.

Kimmorley admits he wants to win for, himself, his coach, then his team..........the club and the fans come a long last and this feeling runs through many of the players currently.

Having said that, I think Bailey will remain at the club, because Anderson will not get another coaching role unless in England, and Bailey will not leave to go there too soon.

I profess to being all of them. I know that this situation will sort itself out, that the players will all stay, that Anderson will get the arse without a massive payout, and Cronulla won't die. Just wait and see! ;-)

Sadly I can't see a Premiership through the mist...

Unless you believe in your own abilities first & foremost then no amount of what you do is ever going to deliver the results to all that follow (ie team, club, fans).
