is it just me or has ben smith dropped more ball than anyone in the comp this year, metao made a very impressive comeback and never looked as though he left ,i just think that feleti has forced benny out the side imo,
what do you guys think ?

Tood was better than Benny, he dropped some crucial ball and both times when we were well on top. Mateo comes in for Benny IMO. Lowrie made one mistake first one in a while....

I thought tood was excellent tonight, he made one mistake but made up for it the rest of the game. Benny is a great tackler but just cant hold onto the ball when really needed. I reckon drop him for Mateo permanently.

Lowrie has crap hands but is playing well, Ben Smith has been dropping way to much ball lately at crucial stages. Admitedly he does get some hospital passes from Robson. I would keep mateo on the bench for now until he gets full fitness.

benny has had fumble fingers at times this year ... yes he gets some poorish balls, but you've still gotta hang on to them

but his defense is still a huge part of our recent success - don't under estimate how important it is for us to stop other teams from scoring .... people wanna get off on the skill a few players are showing in attack, but the reason we are playing catch up is cos we have defended like sh*t most the year, yet now we are stopping teams from scoring and it makes life alot easier in attack

feleti went ok i thought - good to see the great offloads again - if he gets a bit of match fitness in the next 2 games and we win he could be a massive bonus for the finals .... but in saying that, I think he was one of our players that nearly blew it with dumb passes late in last night's game - we should have put the tigers away easy at the end, but did some dumb sh*t trying to throw miracle balls on early tackles instead of build pressure and put them to the sword

f**k strides knows his footy. Get rid of Gould and bring in our man.

Totally agree btw. I thought Ben was awesome in defence especially in the first half. The team should realise he is not the go to man when giving him pressure passes etc. He should be purely used as a Wagon / Tunza player in defence with the odd hit up giving him very early ball. Its not rocket sciece but ffs he can be very handy imo.

I was so frustrated with Ben's ball handling. So much so that I had no more pillows to throw at the TV when Goose Gould started on his rants.

Was it just me or did Feleti seem to be out of steam/on his haunches after a couple of big runs.

I agree with leaving him on the bench till his fitness increases. He can be more devastating from there. For the time being anyway.

Cheers

Benny defence was good but he has a case of the butter fingers.
Tood has been one of our best forwards over the last month.

so how much game time did Ben have last night? and what difference would it make if he was dropped to the bench??

same as usual, but he'll probably come off the bench when Mateo is full y fit you'd think

Benny was very good in defense as usual, he just had a bad night with his hands

I think some of the dropped balls were a result of him thinking we was the decoy runner and not watching the ball player, the passes were very short, only a metre or two but players like Mateo do the unexpected so he needs to concentrate more

ok, it's a bit of a concern that his timing and executuion is off when he's been playing first grade for the past 6 weeks or so

maybe his just used to coming on at the heat of the battle.

Benny played the full 80. A few drop balls, some were ordinary passes though, but was great in defence, contained gareth ellis very well.
Need him in the team. I'd go into next weeks game with the same team. Feleti off the bench was awesome, maybe another week or two to get fitness up then start with lowrie in the 2nd row feleti to lock benny to come of the bench. Or im happy to keep starting with benny.

DA knows what he's doing
