Well, I've interrupted my hiatus from the forums because I know many out there are wondering what my take is on all of this... :D

So, I'll just put it all in one post...

CA: He has been a "dead man walking" for some time now, in my opinion. You all know my stance on CA, but I was willing to let him have 2004 to avoid a messy legal battle and possible cost, financially, to the club. I hope that the legal advise that the board has obviously received in all this, is correct, or we are in for a long, bitter and expensive court battle and payout, one that could indeed bring the Rugby League Football Club to it's knees. My guess though is that this will be handled through the various lawyers on each side and an out of court settlement will eventuate.

In a way I am glad that CA is no longer with us, as my main fear was that another 3 years of CA WOULD have destroyed the club anyway. Look at the turmoil he caused in just 2 years here!! Not all of that was his own doing btw, the board are equally to blame for some of it.

Raper: One fact that seems to have escaped a few here is that SR was brought to the club by CA. The board didn't approach him, CA did. So to the person (cant remember who) calling him a "white ant", I think your way off the mark. If he wanted to "white ant" him he would have jumped at the many chances he had to speak to the media, but he wanted nothing to do with what was going on between the board and CA.

The biggest challenge for SR is to Un-CA the team now. I hope he has torn up the work sheets that CA left him to train the boys while on the kangaroo tour, and is training them the way he wants. CA's style wasn't working and has to go, that’s why CA is no longer here. Good luck to SR in 2004, hopefully bringing some stability back to the sharks.

The Board: Hang your head in shame guys. It's a pity that it is so difficult to get a mass changing of the directors and the best we can hope for is One or Two being replaced at the AGM. I doubt any of them will "fall on their swords". I'm still trying to weigh up as to who truly is to blame for this whole fiasco. CA and the board have carried on like a couple of spoilt brats the past 2 years. The board hired CA in the first place also. The only thing they have done right is to count their loses and get rid of CA, but even that may turn out to come back and bite them on the arse.

Bailey: I am pretty disappointed in some of the stuff I have heard him say or quoted as saying in the past 2 months. Hopefully it was all bluff and he will have a good hard think about things before doing something we both may regret. If he truly feels the way he has advocated, then ta ta Bails. That is the exact sort of “CAism” that I want eradicated from the club. I notice Nutley has pulled his head in now, along with Noddy, and the rest just want to play footy and put all the off field crap behind them.

Deano: If the rumours are true, about talking to him, then this will be the best news all year. Don't worry about no money under the cap, from memory we still have a bit under our belt, as we were talking to players like McDougal, so we must have a few bucks to spare even if they are match payments like offered to McDougal. Who knows, they may have felt Deano out months ago about a return if CA was punted, or they may have even told him months ago they would punt CA!! If anyone can help fast track the healing to the club it's Deano and his 110% clubman attitude. what better example for all the young guns to follow!

Well, I'm going back into hibernation now! See you all in 2004, unless some other major event happens before kick-off ;-)

SHARKS TO SCORE IN 2004!!
