disagree, his 1st class record is pretty average, he's in 5 centuries in 89 innings at an average of 35, Khawaja has hit 6 centries in 34 innings with an average of 54. Ferguson is a better one day bat but Khawaja is alot better bat in the longer version of the game

That may be so, but Fergo is definitely a case of stats not telling the whole story...unlike Khawaja, he struggled through his first few seasons and is really finding himself as a player only now.

Well they obviously tell a fair story - his record just isn't very good.

watch him bat and you'll see why he got added to the squad

Oh I agree that he's got talent, I just think you should fulfil that talent before you play for your country.

I mean, his biggest problem has been a lack of consistency and that's exactly why we're calling for the heads of North and Hussey.

Ferguson should get a game tomorrow... I hope he scores plenty I like the kid and even if his record doesn't show it he has masses of talent and wouldn't look out of place in a baggygreen

If you break his stats down you'll find that over the last 2 or so years he HAS been consistent...His shaky start to his career brings his stats down

Yet the best Ferguson has managed to average across a season is 42.6 or something.

I'm sceptical of him being chosen

Thats a total lie, his most consistent season saw him average 42, every other season he's averaged in the 30's with his rookie season being his 2nd most consistent season
