i would really love to see him get a big crack next year.
we have rein in there and fien (at least another year), i think price should give him first crack at LOCK, he has the build, skills to act as second receiver if required, slips into hooker if needed, pretty much what deano was doing but with younger (good) legs and skill.
8.hunt
9.rein
10.weyman
11 merrin
12. creagh
13. king
14. fein
15. ah mau
16. prior
17. ?????????? who ever.

thoughts?

not a bad idea i guess. king is a waste of talent if price doesnt give him
more game time next season. hes a great player.
i would have frizell though instead of prior on that bench with stockwell

I think both should be in the starting 13. With King's ability to kick out of dummy half I would have them the other way around.

King at lock sounds ok, this has to be Kings big year after the hype and faith shown in him. He got the hooker role robbed off him by Rein and I am sure he will be bloody determined to grab the only really vacant spot.

(btw 15. ah mau should read Jack Stockwell )

Funnily enough, Cameron King played some lock with St.George Junior Reps. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play there at some stage next year.

The goss last year was that Price saw him as a replacement for Dean Young - playing lock/back row, then rotating into hooker. However, Cameron saw himself as a 100% hooker and didn't want to be shared across positions. Apparently that was what stalled him re-signing as Bennett was offering him full-time hooker.

I would be interested in seeing King at lock but I just don't see it... I reckon they will go with DeBelin because of his size, defence and handy offloads..

I reckon this will be the lineup next yr (8-17)

8. Weyman
9. Rein
10. Hunt
11. Frizzel
12. Creagh
13. DeBelin
14. Fein/ King
15. Merrin
16. Prior
17. Ah Mau/ Stockwell

Have I forgotten anyone?

Surely it's more about the role Price wants him to play in the squad rather than the actual position he wants to play? It's either dummy half, or playing close in to the centre of the ruck, similar to Deano. Back row implies him running wider of the ruck, which from what we've seen and given his build, wouldn't appear to be his go.

You want to replace a State of Origin player with a Cronulla reject ? And everybody has forgotten Matthews.

Not what I want the lineup to be; but what I think it will be, given what we've seen this yr.. I did forget Matthews - he might get the nod over Frizzell.. Hard to tell at this stage

Looks the go until Stanley is fit. King's form may keep Fien out of the bench role by then.

Maybe switch Prior and Matthews. I prefer Prior a lot more in the centre third, i think he's too slow to shift in defence once the ball passes outside him and Matthews can run a good line on the edge.

I honestly dont think you could put Merrin back on the bench after the sesason he had...

Lets not forget what Dean Young said about him playing lock...

Merrin is arguably our most valuable player - his days of starting off the bench are gone. One thing that frustrated me w Price this year is how long it took him to realise that you must start with your strongest team.

I would like to hear King say that he will play anywhere to help the team. Not that he only wants to play hooker.
