I would like to hear King say that he will play anywhere to help the team. Not that he only wants to play hooker.

I disagree. He has probably seen what playing out of position has done to Kyle Stanley, Brett Morris, Jason Nightingale, Matt Prior, Beau Scott and Daniel Vidot and thought...f**k that!

Merrin is arguably our most valuable player - his days of starting off the bench are gone. One thing that frustrated me w Price this year is how long it took him to realise that you must start with your strongest team.

I dont know how many games, but someone said King was a Halfback in the junior grades, I dont think it would be that detramental to get him some-game time experience in that position if we need a fill-in, but yeah unless he is a serious consideration for #7, best to get him on the bench to sub in for Rein, and who knows with injury during the year he might end up our #9 before its over.. either way though its time to get him some game-time.

I honestly dont think you could put Merrin back on the bench after the sesason he had...

Lets not forget what Dean Young said about him playing lock...

If Merrin must start then either Hunt or Prior to the bench. I just don't like Prior on an edge, but I do think Prior has something to offer.

I am actually starting to like the idea of Merrin in the 13.... Bubsy showed a real fire toward the end of 2012 and i would hate to lose that in the starting line up...

He has played there a little before... great footwork and offload/ball skills for a big man and gets through a tonne of work...
