No one wants to talk about it but Munster has been extremely under whelming for about 4 years now. He has the odd great game where he carves up a shit team (i.e round 1) but I cant remember the last time he was instrumental in a close win or dominated another top 4 side for the Storm. Jahrome Hughes is so far ahead of him now and I'd argue he is the least important Storm spine member by a mile. Storm should low key see if he is interested heading to Redcliffe and get out of the over inflated contract.

He's 2/5 in grand finals.

Only sighting in the most recent two losses was kicking and biting.

If he loses another one he can match Freddy's 2/6 of being a completely ineffective five eighth in the biggest club games.

My point: He's no Jarome Luai and has no smug.

Edit: Like Luke Keary he's never matured as a half. A big money player in the halves should be able to game manage. Munster still wants to score on every set. In a team with three fullbacks and a running hooker you'd expect the biggest name to be able to go set for set without losing their head.

Yeah he's been playing under his price tag for a long time. Just doesn't deliver consistently anywhere near enough.

Freddie was a centre in 1990 & 1991 GFs.

Last year, in all honesty formwise, he could have been dropped. I suspect he was busted injury-wise though.
This year, I actually think he has been okay. Pricetag ok? no. His kicking game has been decent but the last two years, the Munster running game has disappeared. This usually is a pointer to injury.
In saying that, you are judged by what you do on the field, injury or not. He has been okay this year without being great. Hughes has been awesome.
