The problem with Souths spine is they depend entirely on good go forward. True, you could apply that princepal to every team, but it seems absolutely essential to them.

If Luke doesn't have good go forward he can't do those damaging dummy-half runs.
As Canberra showed if you rush up on Reynolds he just holds the ball & the backline play gets defused.
They have Sutton, who is a backrower & Walker is a centre.
Inglis is their beacon of hope - but it doesn't mean much if Reynolds can't get it to him.

I laughed at a Souths fan for suggesting they need a prop more than outside backs. But now that I think about it how badly they depend on go forward, perhaps it's exactly what they need.

We need a couple of no nonsense props like Lima and to a lesser extent Asotasi, especially now that Sam Burgess is leaving. Luke is in a major form slump, Tom is injured and George is the only one carving up atm, and normally he'd come off the bench for impact.
