Can the Sydney Roosters win the Grand Final again this year?

Munster won't be out for 3 months. It'll be 2 at most. As for the roosters winning the comp, they haven't played a decent team yet. Ask again after they've played the likes of the Storm, Broncos, Sharks. Panthers don't count, I don't consider them a top side yet, too inconsistent

Is Riley Jacks French Canadian?

No. Australian-Canadian. His brother plays for the Toronto Wolfpack, the world's first transatlantic sports team. Soon (maybe in 2 years) the TW will be in Super League, Montreal will be starting to emulate their path to greatness, and Canada will be on the road to becoming a world power in rugby league.

FFS Albert if you jinx us ... the last thing we need is a shitpost like this. f**k off, we are a long way from being the best team in the comp atm.

Anyone remember Rooster Cogburn's post before the 2003 GF ? Still haunts me to this day.
Cogburn was the best. He made some bold predictions on PI at the time as well. Made the win even sweeter.

The Roosters are fake leaders.
They beat an injury hit joke in the Titans.
Scrapped home against the Bulldogs, who suck at the moment. Should have won by more.
They stole a win against Penrith through a crooked call.
and they beat up a injury hit Souths side.
Hardly red hot form against quality teams.

March premiers indeed.

I thought this was a really bad haiku at first.

This is a very good thread.

The Sydney Roosters, who are well known in the French Rugby League community, are the number 1 team in the NRL at this stage.

Lucas Keary has shown that he was being held back by Souths, who are not very good at nurturing good young cattle. Furthermore, the release of Dale Copley has energised the squad, who were upset with his lack of skill and ability.

With the brilliant Mitchell Pearce leading this team I see anything less than a Grand Final appearance as complete failure.

I also believe that Pearce and his diminutive co-captain Jacob Friend will represent Australia at test level this year, replacing the inferior and ageing Jonathan Thurston and Cameron Smith.

The fabulous Sydney Roosters are unbeaten after four rounds, as are Melbourne Storm.

Melbourne rely on the Big Three of Billy Slater, Cooper Cronk and Cameron Smith for every success. Slater's substitute Cameron Munster is now out for three months, and he will be replaced at five eighth by the Canadian Rylie Jacks. Melbourne will not be at full strength until late June at the earliest.

The Roosters have a more balanced talent roster than Melbourne, with dynamic halves Mitchell Pearce and Luke Keary, the brilliant centre Latrell Mitchell, a very reliable full back in Michael Gordon, and a very powerful pack of forwards. The only weakness in the team is Shaun Kenny-Dowell, who is the king of dropsy.

The only other challenges to the Roosters, apart from Melbourne, will come from Brisbane Broncos and Canberra Raiders. Whether either of these can beat the Roosters we have yet to see.

The top four looks like being Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra, with North Queensland, Cronulla, Penrith and Manly making up the final eight.

Bookmarked for giggles in early September.
