Can they make another late run this year?

We know they have finished strongly the last three years, missing the finals in 2009 when they lost to a rampaging Parra late in the season, and putting together nice winning sequencies in 2010 and 2011 to get in the Top 4...

I'm not so sure they can do it this time....

The teams form is a lot different to the last couple of years... Players like Ayshford, Lawrence and even Benji are shadows of their previous selves...

The lack of pace in the backs in alarming.... in previous years a break would most often result in a try, these days not so....

They miss Ellis big time on both sides of the ball, and god knows when he is back, and how well he will be going after such a long lay off.....

I also think that they will miss Gibbs down the stretch who always seemed to finish the season strong...

I dunno, they are probably doing slightly better on the table this time, but in the prevous years I was always confident they could come home strong.

This time I dont think so.

I'm thinking they get 7th or 8th at best...

Historically, 28 pts gets you in the finals, we need at least 4 wins to be there. 6 would put us closer to the top 4.

It should be too hard to miss the finals from here.

7th at best

7th or 8th at best and a quick exit from the final series. This team has hardly put a good performance in all year and really should not be as high on the ladder as we are.

I dont know but I was saying to a mate that the loss to the Warriors last year might have been the end of the road for this group of players, they had a real shot at the title and blew it and Iam not sure if they will ever get up again.

In my op ion its time to rebuild a team around Woods, Siro, and Benji and Farah to a lesser extent. We have to starting playing like Melbourne, Dogs and Manly and develop e some real mongrel and some consistency would be good.

Anyway its not a Sheens bash, but I would start with the coach--we need change, a new vision. After being everyones tip 2012 is going to be a dud like 2006,2007,2008 and 2009. Not good enough

I see us finishing on 28 points. I am no great tipster but I see the Warriors finishing the same and we will fight it out for 8th position on for and against. We play the Dogs twice and finish with the Roosters. A win in one of these games may get us to 30 points.....

But the form we are in who'd know!!!!

after the bye we have;
Bulldogs
Panthers
Cowboys
Rabbits
Eels
Dragons
Bulldogs
Rosters
Storm

I think we could be as bad as 2 wins if Ellis remains out and the tigers from continues to be as bad as it has been.

I can be a bit negative though:)

Actually a second look shows that 29/30 points is probably safer, you're right ink.

lol so Heingno is the reason we cant win , Just remember in 2005 Mark Oneill, Shane Elford and even the likes of Paul Whatuira were no superstars BUT i think the side had a chemistry and bond which sometimes is more important than actual class or ability. Im certain todays team would rather be digging in for and relying on Heinington than people like Blair , Isosefa and Reddy Etc particulary after losing Gibbs . Just imoho
