We can beat Parra as long as they run out Kenny, Cronin, Sterling, Ella, Hilditch, Gerard, Price, Glover, Dowling, Olling, Wynn, Higgs, O'Rilley & co.

Any other team they run out will ball gag us over a 44-gallon drum with a gimp mask & bore holes in our rectal tract.

It wont be that exciting.

I think that we can beat Parra. Here are my reasons:

They have the short turn around after a tough Monday night game against Manly.
Brookvale is reportedly a 'heavy' field to play on, potentially making the short turn around even more difficult for Parra.
They have their two best attacking players in Hayne and Tahu out of the side
We have 3 former Parramatta players in our team who will be out for big games against their old club
Gallen will be keen to prove the NSW selectors wrong after missing out on the NSW side.

I honestly don't know what Sharks team will turn up. Will it be the rip in, grind a win or a close loss Sharks we have only seen a few times this year? Or will it be the "ahh screw it", uninterested rabble that we have sen more often than not lately?

I have no idea. (and there's a quote someone will drag up...)

you're every chance to do a another number on us..

backing up from mondays's game in the worst ground to play on against the most physical side in the comp is going to f**k us for a few days, much more than the loss of Hayne and Tahu...

you're in this up to your armpits.

I think you'll roll us in this one Stagger.

I think your team has more motivation and dedication at present.

But above all more creativity.

Mortimer and Keating vs Barrett and Smith.

It's a no brainer isn't it?

I know which halves pairing would be in most demand on the open market.

Just look at the attention Mortimer and Keating have had this year from rival Clubs. Massive!

Your only problem might be the weather.

If it rains it will even things up big time.

And that factor will be our only chance of being competitive.

Well this will be a true test to our 'improvement'.

We beat a stronger Parramatta side 11-0 just over a month ago, if we lose to the weakened side our descent into a NSW Cup quality side will be clearly demonstrated.

I`m pretty sure that`s Daniel Anderson`s game plan.

Sharks are right at home in Parra

Christian Nicolussi From: The Daily Telegraph May 22, 2010 12:00AM

CRONULLA - regarded by most fans as the NRL's biggest laughing stock (so what if we enjoy a good laugh?) - will have every chance to once again make Parramatta their happiest hunting ground tonight.

Eels fans will shudder at the unthinkable fact the Sharks have won six of their past seven matches at the suburban venue.

Be afraid. Be very afraid!

And Cronulla could return to the Shire with another two competition points tomorrow as the Eels deal with a quick back-up from Monday's tough trip to Manly and the absence of superstars Jarryd Hayne and Timana Tahu. Cronulla enforcer Paul Gallen will also be out to prove a point to Blues selectors after his Origin snub.

Fox Sports Stats reveal Cronulla have won 14 of their 22 games at Parramatta, or 63.6 per cent, a record superior to their home form (60.3 per cent).

Apart from Parramatta's 74-4 blow-out in 2003, the six other matches won by the Sharks have been decided by four points or less, including two that went to golden point.

Eels skipper Nathan Cayless recalled last year's 13-10 loss. "It was the low point of our season and, if anything, probably triggered us to turn the season around," he said. "It was like Cronulla had just won a grand final.

"Hopefully we don't see similar scenes again on Saturday."

Parramatta coach Daniel Anderson was not too worried by the statistics and looking forward to returning home after five weeks on the road. "We've actually backed up pretty well after Monday night games the past couple of seasons," Anderson said.

"We're in pretty good form and, dare I say it, pretty healthy. I wasn't aware of Cronulla's record, but they beat us last time [at Toyota Stadium] simply because they played better than us. Stats are stats.

"All I can tell you is we have good morale in the camp, we know the competition is tight and we need to take our opportunities."

The Eels will be shooting for five straight wins and could secure a top-four berth by the end of the weekend.

Anderson said there would be no complacency and was keen to see rookie Tom Humble - the man asked to fill Hayne's boots at fullback - continue to develop in first grade.

"He defended well against the likes of Anthony Watmough and Steve Matai on Monday, it was a solid debut, and hopefully Saturday is just one of a number of first grade games he can put together," Anderson said.

Co-captain Nathan Hindmarsh will play, despite playing the Sea Eagles in pain with a neck complaint. Cronulla have been listed $3.85 outsiders with TAB Sportsbet with an 11.5 start in line betting.

No Hayne & Tahu, we seemingly always win @ Parra, and the Eels are a team capable of putting on the type on inexcusably sh*tty performance required to actually lose to us.

On the other hand we are the Sharks, likely to screw up even the most winnable of games. This is as winnable a game as we'll probably get, but i fully expect we cop a belting.

I think the only certain thing about this game is that Cuthbo will be gasping for air after about a minute after running onto the field.

The Sharks are obviously long odds to win this one but I gave them a fair chance of causing an upset.

A Sharks win will not surprise me and if you can match the Eels up front in the forwards who knows what could happen.

The key to this game will surely be a solid start. Get your noses in front and get into an arm wrestle and who knows....
