Well what an embarrassment that was. We should have won by 20 but our team's football IQ is in single digits.

The right edge defence is as soft as butter with papalli and croker scoring 2 of the softest tries you will ever see. Our attack in general looks very flat.

The positives are fergo and latrell playing in the correct positions and nikorima had a strong game.

That last 5 minutes though... i thought jake was as much to blame there. He is our captain and kept shifting it to the edges.

We look devoid of any ideas attacking their line. Latrell is a kid and it was like we had an Under 20's game plan of pass it to Latrell and hope for the best. Understandable I suppose when we basically have an under 20's spine.

Niko should touches of class and an ability to play what's in front of him. Think Jacko is really struggling without a senior half along side him. This is where Pearce really f**ked up by not being there to guide the 2 kids we have in the halves.

Pigs did their job yesterday, our attack just didn't get us over the line even tho Fergo gave Croker nightmares most of the game in attack.

We really miss Jimmys goal kicking as well. We've gone from guaranteed 6 points 9 times out of 10 to not being able to convert at all.

I am hearing jacko has a niggling quad injury this the reason he isn't kicking. If true may as well rest him until he is 100% as he is just dead weight at the moment.

Agree Val, few times yesterday he looked to be favouring it as well. Problem is who do we bring in? Tyler Cornish is nowhere near first grade level.

I would just put maubo in as a running 5/8 and give latrell some playmaking responsibilities in attack. That does leave us woefully short in the halves but it would give nikorima a chance ro lead the team and we would have to just grind out whatever points (and hopefully wins) we could until our players come back.

The risk of playing an injured half is just not worth it.

How can you give Nikorima 3 points when his defence and poor play (not his fault) is the reason why they scored most of their tries? It would be better if we played Aubusson there, yes it takes away 1 try that we scored but it takes away all of Papallis tries and Crokers try.

We looked beaten at the beginning of the second half. Seemed like Canberra could smell blood and just looked the more enthusiastic. Still, there were some positives signs I guess. Kicking one more goal would've made a difference and glad to see Fergo and Mitch playing in their natural positions.

Was away at a bucks party all weekend and only got to watch the game last night.. was pretty disappointing and for some reason I always felt like we were going to lose it. especially missing 10 points worth of goal kicks (or was it 8?) on the plus side we looked about 100 times better with Mitchell at full back even if he did seem to tire towards the end of the game.

Niko looked good in attack but he was really getting picked out in defence. he's size really concerns me especially on the line.

Pack was a lot better but we definitely looked lost in attack. we had about 3 chances between the 70th and 75th minute and we made no effort at all to set up for the FG.

Until we get JWH, Cordner & Pearce back, we are going to keep seeing performances like Saturday's..

You just can't put old heads on these kids, & that includes Napa & Evans..

We will see their brilliance as well, but they are learning on the run, against players who are more advanced in their education..

We were unlucky to lose this one but all through the game I had this feeling it was inevitable that we'd go down.

Pretty much zero direction in the halves (understandable to a point) which made us look way too predictable. Not sure what the short term solution is though. Season will be over before we know it if we wait until Pearce returns before they make changes. Robbo hand will be forced if we get towelled up by the Cows surely.

Too much one out stuff from the forwards as well. Does JWH have to return before the rest of them learn what an offload is?

I still think we will make a decent run at the top 8, maybe even sneaking in there but time will tell.

Guerra is a major concern at the moment IMO. On paper, he is the best and most experienced player we are fielding but he has been completely ordinary.

As a fan base we just need to lower the expectations a little. We're in a little transitional period at the moment, we have plenty of talent and great coach so we will be fine.
