Not entirely, it’s relevant to 5th & 6th place not deserving “home city” finals.



Anyway I think the best approach for the NRL is more flexibility. If a Sydney team is playing a non Sydney team in week one of the finals the game shouldn’t be at ANZ.

All finals at ANZ and only 1st gets a home final as a reward for minor premiership. Keep current finals structure otherwise.

Here's a left field one that helps the comp in everyway. Each team plays each other once with a top 8. Finals over 2 legs home/away then a GF......f**k me I just fixed everything

Or maybe like the old Super 6 system in the cricket world cup where you only carry in the points earnt for wins against the other top 7 teams, then in the finals only play the teams you have played once and in the end you have played every team twice. Top 4 in preliminary finals.

On second thoughts, there would have to be a rejig of the premiership season and some teams would probably have to play more matches than others in this format.

I'll grab me coat.
