Can't believe this rubbish

The playing group feel hurt.

I don't doubt that they put in 110% effort every week (more so than some teams ahead of us), yet are let down by extremely inept coaching and lack of skill. It's not the right attitude, but I can understand why the players would be frustrated at fans screaming that they're putting no effort in, or they don't care. These words Cooper said are straight out of the mouth of McGregor. It's exactly how he talks.

This has culminated in the players losing faith in McGregor as a coach. Hence our past few results.

Mary and Doust have to do the right thing and resign. Start fresh with a new coach and new management.

McGregor is a cancer.

To be honest if the team is putting in 110% and getting the miserable outcomes that we are, then that just highlights how ordinary the players that we have are ,they have to take ownership of the results same as the coach .

I want the coach gone but there needs to be a lot of change to this squad also ,what we have is a very, very ordinary
group of players barring the few rep players and that doesn't include Widdop, he is one of the worst performers.

Just one last comment on the subject . After seeing my post today , I realised that I had been unfair to all concerned .
The glory years did not end in the 60's , but continued on for decades after. Every year that the Dragons reached the semi finals was a good year , and more so the Grand Finals , and of course winning the Premiership . For that continued success , over so long a period , did take good management from all involved , including the subsequent Boards .
After 2011 , ( the end of the Bennett period ) was when the Clubs fortunes appeared to take a huge U- Turn . Since that time some of the major decisions made by our current Board , have not produced the desired results .
So we now , as a Club , find ourselves in this sorry state . And I for one must confess that I would not have the slightest idea how to make the everyday decisions that the Clubs Board must make , but I do know that we require someone who can solve our current problems .
At this point in time , we are like a ship without a rudder - we are just going in circles.

Agree someone who can clean the place out like gould has done at the panthers.

I'm not convinced a massive player clean out is the answer, I truly believe a good coach alongside a handful of personnel changes could come in and turn this side around very quickly.

I've been critical of Widdop but he along with Marshall have both shown they have good football in them at other clubs under better attacking structures.

Marshall and Dugan are two of the most instinctive players in the game and yet they constantly look like square pegs trying to fit into round holes in this team. A good coach would structure our attack around these two and have them playing to their strengths.

Frizell and Thompson are excellent back rowers, Packer is an unreal prop with his best footy ahead of him.. Aitken and Milne are two very good young centres.

Only personnel change I would make in a heartbeat really is Rein because his service is f***ing terrible.

The only real player change required is Hooker. Bring in Segeyaro and a good coach and I think they are a top 8 side easy. Masoe will provide good grunt next season on top of the signing of Tariq Sims under a proper coach and that is 2 quality additions. If they can land Segyaro and bring back Damian Cook that is ideal. Pi$$ off Rein and Havilil. Not to impressed with him.

If Benji goes ( I would rather Widdop gone but anyway) Saints should throw the lot at Loloheia. He would be ideal and is young. Widdop had plenty of time without Benji to show his wares and was pathetic.Giving Widdop the C probably gave Benji less reason to voice his opinion ahead of Widdop when talking attack. Another poor Mary decision. The C should have gone to Duges or the Friz. I would make them Co-Capt next season.

If Saints get Tony Williams and don't re-sign Thompson that is a bad decision. Williams is rubbish.

There should 100% be a player clean out. We have spent years paying overs for blokes and doing whatever we have to in order to get OK-at-best talent here.

However, it needs to START with a new coach and recruitment team. They, and they alone, should have the say in who stays and who goes. If we clean out the players first, we are in for a world of hurt.

A few exceptions, of course.

Funny thing is I don't blame the players. It's goes far deeper than that imo.

I wouldn't be too hard on Cooper. He is an employee of the club after all. It's the club that is angry at the fans for not being obedient customers.

The Footy show panel ripped into our players tonight. Vautin said "If the players don't want the media criticizing them just play better. Brohman said we were terrible to watch and Raudonikis said the players were more interested in how their hair looked. That's a fair spray. Pity it should be directed at Mary.

All true as well.If the players take offence to it they need to harden up.Maybe Mary & a couple of them ought to come & sit on the hill with the fans & really see how boring & slow they are.
