MFC- As regards the Cronulla players in Wellington they were accused of feeling up women but got off on a technicality..they were all actually feeling up blokes..true Sharks men to the core!

Its on the public record now Moffo so I guess its ok to bring it up.

The incident last year with Trindall assaulting a female friend came up today. The court heard that Trindall was in hospital for alcoholism. It's not good for Canterbury but its worse for the people (friends and family). Its not a stir and its not fun. Its a disease like any other.

Could happen to any player and its the sort of thing that happens every day to lots of people.

It seems to get from worse to horrific for the hapeless Bulldogs.
The Sydney Morning Herald is now reprting this Bulldogs star forward Willie Mason is feuding with coach Steve Folkes and is considering walking out on the club.

The whole article here

No club could fit Willie under the salary cap at this stage of the season, so the only place for him to go is Union.
Let's all hope that doesn't happen.
The big unit would be the perfect build for a Union forward, but it would take him a few years to learn the game (Toronto boys are slow learners).

Roopy, maybe he'll get paid out some of his contract if he leaves and it won't count under a new clubs cap.

or, or, or the potential purchasing club can get an I.O.U off their 2013 cap allowance :p

At least one club could....

last I heard wests were still about $300, 000 under their salary cap for this year.

Not that I actually think that he would sign with wests but its still at least one more option than union

I doubt Sheens would want him. He doesn't strike me as a coach that'll take bullshit from any player or want a player with an attitude problem despite what ability they have.

yeah I don't think its very likely either, we've actually got a few good young props coming through in both wests and balmain I think we'd be much better off saving our money for some good halves next year.

But still always an option

From League Unlimited

Thurston out with a shoulder injury
Bulldogs five eighth Jonathon Thurston has withdrawn from the team to play Souths in the NRL doubleheader after succumbing to a shoulder injury.
There is no news yet on a replacement but we believe Braith Anasta will shift to five eighth and Andrew Ryan will come off the bench and start the game at lock.
When we have details on who will move onto the bench we will post it immediately.

What are you suggesting Willow? Ive heard its someone else, although Thurston is hardly the rose amongst the thorns, perhaps 42yr old women are more in his league :p

I still think the story is suss though. The women tried to withdraw the complaint but seeing she had already lodged it the police begun investigations. I think its another poor attempt at trying to get some cheap publicity

Cheers,

If Big Willie doesn,t have a get-out clause in his contract and Folkes wants to pick him in the twos and big Willie doesn,t like it,he could find himself sitting the season out-a contract is a contract and you can,t just walk out without repercussions.

I'm not suggesting anything Moffo. Just happened to noticed that the19 year old has been sidelined. I would never questionThurstons's clean-cut and wholesome imagein a public forum.
As always, everyone is innocent until shown to be otherwise.

I'm not aware of the woman trying to withdraw the complaint but its not unusual to see charges withdrawn after police are called.
The fact is, the law compels police to follow up any formal complaint.

The same thing happened to a certain Saints player and and his girlfriend last yearfollowing a domestic... the difference was that his name was mentioned in the media.
