No it wasn't a 1 off ride for Westy Twizz........ he's contracted for the remainder of the 07 season with an option for 08 if Kawasaki want him.

As for Casey..... i've been watching GP's since the late 80's, seen the greats (Doohan, Lawson, Rainey etc) and he's doing us proud. To be that competitive and cool under pressure at 21 is freakish. I'm a Valentino fan till i die, but to see Casey battling with him and beating him has me in a mental quandry.... i'm sad and excited at the same time, as it's an Aussie beating my favourite rider.

As for that chump Hayden.... the sooner they rip that #1 plate of that peice of sh*t he's under the better.

was it after his ride at Donnington ?

he deserves a contract, he's good enough

Stoner also said he was having trouble with the wind blowing him around and almost lost the front end at one stage when hit by a gust.

'On fire' Stoner uncatchable

From correspondents in Brno
August 20, 2007

AUSTRALIA'S world championship leader, Casey Stoner, won the Czech MotoGP race overnight to consolidate his position at the top of the standings.

The 21-year-old Ducati rider came home ahead of American duo John Hopkins and defending world champion Nicky Hayden, riding a Suzuki and Honda respectively, to claim his seventh win from 12 races this season.

Stoner, who started in pole position, led from start to finish, and his 14th career win crucially extended his lead over seven-time world champion and championship rival Valentino Rossi to 60 points.

"Everything worked really well today, the tyres, the bike was perfect again," Monaco-based Stoner said.

"I just want to thank everyone in my team and my wife. Everyone who has been there throughout the year."

Only Hopkins, who will race next season with Kawasaki, was able to stay with Stoner's cracking early pace, but the American fell off in the second half of the race.

Behind that duo at the midway stage, Hayden and Spain's Dani Pedrosa were already more than seven seconds adrift, with the four following riders, led by Rossi, a further five seconds off the pace.

Rossi finally finished seventh, more than 22 seconds off Stoner's time, and he now faces a real challenge to claw back the difference.

The Italian, a five-time winner in Brno, will be hoping to revive his fading title hopes when the circuit moves to Misano, just miles from his birthplace in Italy, in two weeks time.

Hopkins admitted that the rest of the field had been chasing Stoner's shadow on the Czech course.

"Casey was riding unbelievably, he was on fire," he said.

"I gave it everything I had, pushed everything."

Earlier, Jorge Lorenzo from Spain won the 250cc Grand Prix, the Aprilia rider coming home ahead of Andrea Dovizioso from Italy, while Mika Kallio from Finland was third.

Hector Faubel from Spain, also on an Aprilia, won the 125cc category of the Czech leg of the motorcycling world championship ahead of Mattia Pasini from Italy and Lukas Pesek from the Czech Republic.
