As an Aussie who's been following English RL for a fair number of years ....Let me just say it is a breath of fresh air to see Castleford in the final. Though I was torn between what is good for the game in England and what is good for me here in Oz ....as I in February had backed St Helens to win SL at nice odds !

The emotional roller coaster displayed by the wife of the Castleford coach was great TV.

An outstanding game of football. St Helens with 3 tries in 7 or 8 minutes to take an almost certain win, Barba untouchable but Percival shanking every goal kick. Only to miss a short kick off then give away a cynical and unnecessary penalty defending the line from a fairly pedestrian set.
Outstanding theater and glad Cas got through

Been hoping for sometime that somebody else other than leeds, wigan etc, would rise up. Thought castleford were going to go the way of hudderfield and warrington but they got there. Surely this is a good thing for game in england, and a sweet reward for the fans of the smaller clubs.

Great stuff, listened on the radio as don't have sky. Having no faith in rugby league i thought it wouldn't happen but credit to them its a great achievement and hopefully they win the big game next week.

I really hope cas win it all next week, not just cos of the underdog factor, and by that I mean small village team, they have truly been head and shoulders above everyone this year and that's absolutely down to the "English" brand of rugby they play and they have 3 halfbacks as the main coaches at the club as apposed to the trend the last 10 years of putting forwards in as head coaches..

Its no surprise to me that England looked the best they have in 20 years when they had Paul deacon,a scrumhalf,a attacking coach...and now cas with there all halfback coaching team producing startling RL..

When powell and his staff take over England, and they are next in line......watch out! ,its the perfect storm waiting to happen

Daryl Powell has done an outstanding job over the past few seasons with Cas and I'm pretty happy to see them in the final.
I met a few Cas fans at St James' Park on Magic Weekend a few seasons ago and had a great time. I can't hear 'Sweet Caroline' without thinking back to that day with the Tigers fans.
I support Leeds by default but i hope Cas win.

Thought Radford spoke very well in defeat on Friday. He's done a great job at hull too. Great to have British coaches dominating for a change
