The Canon law states that Catholics have a right to kill non-Catholics and that the Pope is able to take "millions of people to hell if he wants to".

The law doesn't state that Catholics can kill "Protestants", it states that they can kill anyone who does not follow the church, anyone of another religion, atheists, etc. Therefore, Protestants would fit into this category in a modern day context.
