Cayless milestone leads NRL

30/03/2010 4:06:50 PM

Pirtek Parramatta Eels captain Nathan Cayless will become the first player to captain 200 games for one club this weekend when he leads the Eels against the Cronulla Sharks at Toyota Stadium this Saturday.
In his 238th game for the Parramatta Eels, Cayless becomes the most prolific one-club captain and is on track to break Brad Fittler’s record of 216 games as captain.
Five-eighth Daniel Mortimer returns to the team this week, after Mortimer missed last week’s loss to the Wests Tigers through illness. He will rejoin Jeff Robson in the halves, while Kris Keating moves back to the bench.
Forward Justin Horo, who made his debut last week, remains on an extended bench.
Members have access to an exclusive ticket offer at Toyota Stadium that will give them discounted tickets to the Parramatta Eels’ Away Supporters Bay, which is Bay 15.
Once again the supporters buses will be running and $16 tickets are available from Parramatta Leagues Club Reception. Buses will depart the club at 2.00pm on Saturday.

Wonder how long Ando is going to persevere with Robson for at 7 and Keating at 14??

After last weeks short stint I would have Horo in front of Oake.

Karlos probably wouldn't be there if Horo and Blackburn were available, Blackburn has another week of suspension to searve, I believe he was sorely missed on the weekend.

Here we go again with your hatred towards Karl. Did he sleep with your ex girlfriend or something? Before you comment and say he shouldn't be in the team i suggest you go out and watch him play because he was by far our best player on the weekend and his players player award suggests that, so for you to say he is lucky to be there after a man of the match performance again just shows how little you know, you also made the comment that he was not even considered last week yet played and the week before that he was 18th man.

Benoir was also out at the game and he said he had a blinder. For his 1st game to play 60min in the 2nd row and score 2 tries i think he deserves a bit of credit. No one is calling for him to play NRL just yet, i am one of his biggest fans but i still think he needs at least 2 -3 months of good solid form before the coaching staff start to consider him.

Get off his back already and don't comment until you go out there and watch him play.

Just two words. BOMBS AWAY!!!

Surely Stuart can't stick Kelly back there for the kicks.

I have a bad feeling about this game :(

whoa dude, settle.

Despite how well he DID play, you can't deny if Horo and Blackburn WERE available, he would have been in Bundy Cup!

Last week yeah he would have been in Bundy if they were available i don't doubt that. But after a his performance on the weekend i don't see how Bert and the staff could drop him. The kid took his chance and didnt dissapoint.
