He's a solid player Jake and would hardly be on alot of money. Originally he was bought to play Prems, only difference is now we know he can contribute in first grade if need be.

Ok he is a solid player, I just don't want him taking up spots of the up and comers such as Cordoba, Afamasaga, Huaraki, the Taia Bros. I mean how would they feel if they have Grandad Peek in the way of there progress?

I dont think he would be in there way If they are good enough. I dont mind these youngsters getting spots if they are the best available option but I dont agree with just giving them spots to ensure they dont pack up and leave.

This all baloney! No good players want to play under Smith, remember?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

This is all a smokescreen by Brian Smith designed purely to thwart the saintly Misty Bee.

an employee of the eels told me today that stringer's back is no good and he may be useless next year...possibly even forced into retirement.

I couldve told them that before. He is probably our only bad signing. He was 200K as well. A bit of a shame he wouldve been a good bench player.

Said in Big League today that Eels officials are working hard in putting together a rehabilitation program for Stringer. Hopefully it goes well. Great news for Cayless though, like Hindy, he's the heart of our club.

Damn that is bad news. Hopefully he comes through ok. He is a very good front rower.
