What a good game the big fell had! By far a couple of classes above most of the other forwards in our side. Vella and Pearson dead set has to be the worst front row combination in the competition. They set no platform in the oppening exchanges what so ever. There better be some major changes in the front row position for next season if this side wants to be successful.

i know alot of people like to bag Moimoi, but atleast he has a dig when he is on the field. He is always read to take a hitup. Vella and Pearson on the other hand go missing and they spend alot more time on the feild. Some workratre in the front row would be nice. Look at the cowboys, they are doing so well cause they got guys like Tronc and Rahihi taking the ball up all the time.

Stats looked very good for Nathan - no missed tackles amongst a side that missed 44. Hit ups, yards and offloads. Looking forward to seeing it with my eyes, but at least Caylo's had a personal positive at the end of the season, and may still land a spot for the tri-nations.

Our Captain Caylo was great.
You would never know he'd been sidelined for so long, he comes out & gets straight back into it. His offloads were beauty's.
Inspirational.

Vella gives me the shits, he's big and mobile, and should dominate. But he doesn't. He's always getting pushed around by the other blokes.

We need a couple of guys averaging 15 hitups a game in the front row. We are just no good coming out of our own half. This is where guys like Cayless and Morrison are really going to help (Hindmarsh already does this).

The game was a fitting end to the season:

1) we get hammered by a side bound for the grand final
2) Vella and Pearson make more meters backwards than forwards
3) Hindy stars and Caylo shows why we've missed him
4) Peterson has a brain explosion and scores a try in the same game
5) Our only attacking weapon is Michael Witt's bomb
6) Thorman gets dragged
7) Graham concedes plenty of tries down his wing
8) Dykes is out injured - AGAIN.
9) Fat prick Lyon is sitting there on the sideline cheering on Manly

You can sum up the whole season in 1 game really.

Makes you see exactly what we have missed all season, not only his brilliant play but also his leadership skills.
Before we lost him to injury, he was the leading offloader in the entire NRL and not only does he offload, he thinks about it and offloads at the right times

Makes good metres, hits hard in the tackles. I rate him on the same level as Hindmarsh.

Yeh Cayless was great today, And If I remember rightly, Didn't miss one tackle which is a big effort from a player who has only been back for 2 weeks. I think he was just so eager to get out there and prove to the Eels that he is back and is sorry for his injuries in the past 2 years. Deep Down he can't help it. Wait for next season, He will have a blinder if fit.

his offloads where great!

he has pionered the horizontal offload today

not a bad effort to get teh ball away when you are paralleel to the ground and about 1 and 1/2 meters above it.

makes you wonder tho, the chooks players lifted him and had the hand between the legs, and yet not a word form the umpire.

Caylo was great and i hope he plays in the back-row next year as i think that is where he is most effective. Along with Hindmarsh and Morrison surely we would have the stongest back-row in the comp. Pearson seemed more interested in trying to pass (must have thought he was playing halfback again!) so thank god he is retiring and Vella is so damn hot and cold and just isn't mentally tough enough week in week out.

I'm pretty sure you'd find cayless made more metres yesterday than vella did the last two games!
