Celtic + Rangers to the Prem?

Where would Rangers or Celtic finish in the Prem?

Honestly, where do you think they fit in the English system.

Some times I watch them play, I see them as mid table Prem sides, but then I see that they are no better than Championship standard?

What do we all think?

Although I think it'd be wrong for them to be put in the Prem, I think that both teams would linger in the mid-low region...the 13-16 spots.

Celtic midtable, Rangers fighting relegation.

But with the extra money coming in from being in the premiership, they should both be competing for UEFA spot places within 5 years or so.

I watched the match they played last night and when they went through the teams i realised just how average their rosters were. No world class players in either side. If they were to move into the Prem right now i'd probably put them both alongside Portsmouth, but behind teams like Villa and Everton.

But given the added money and exposure it wouldnt be long IMO until they were both challenging for a place in Europe (UEFA Cup).

Celtic with the extra money and exposure etc would be right up there, i think, probly couldnt win title but would be pushing top 4

Oh, you're gonna be in so much trouble if Bumble sees that.

Spot on, but.

Correct - Nakamura and Boruc aside (maaaaybe Mcgeady) noone in Celtic's team is really that good, right now.

However: Given the 60000 seat stadium, global brand recognition and the money that playing in the Premiership brings they would be up in the top four within 5 years. Glasgow is a far more livable city than Manchester or Liverpool, and funding would not be a problem.

Right now though, mid-table. Whoever said Championship is a moron though.
