Don't laugh.

I can't help but notice the plethora of compliments coming his way over the past few weeks, particularly from heavy hitters like Johns, Sterlo and Fittler.

I think Keary will be five eighth, and he works best with a Cronk-style organiser and game manager alongside him.

Ask yourself who the contenders are and I'd argue he is a pretty good shot.

His competition is:

Cleary - the incumbent, but playing like a busted. At best 50/50 to be picked;
Luke Brooks - media darling, but way too in and out of games and inconsistent;
Mitchell Moses - see Luke Brooks;
Adam Reynolds - I think the only one out of this list to challenge him.

There's obviously a push for Cody Walker, but he is an out and out 6 so I see him competing with Keary.
I don't think they work together.

I get the impression serious thought is being given to a Townsend / Keary combination.

Shout me down at your will, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen.

Townsend has played for Fittler before and Fittler was happy with The Chad.

He should be considered, others in front though.

It's not out of the question. Chadwah is killing it and his defence has been outstanding which is a massive requirement for Origin. He certainly deserves to be in consideration at least.

I think Reynolds might get the green light since he and Keary have played together before though.

Settle down.
But seriously yes in current form he could be number 7 no problem.
I don't know how or what but he has changed his style into a BK clone

Happy not to see him in a Blues jumper but thats for selfish reasons. They will go with Keary and Reynolds imo. Chad would go good I rek'n

his form right now is great and up there with any other 7 that gets talked about.

But he just doesn't seem to be considered that level of talent.

Write your own ticket odds.

He deserves to be chosen.

His game has gone up another level this year.

The only one as consistent as him this season at half back is Adam Reynolds.

I would be surprised if he was picked only because I know how much Fittler loves Keary and you think he at least keeps one of last years halves.

Leave the Chad in the black white and blue.

Origin schamorigin ..... it is not the same as it was years ago.

Let the channel Nein commentary pick the teams and the coaches and let them have their fun.

We need to keep ticking the wins over. It is going to be a long season and survival of the fittest.

Agreed wb DJDL

Our rep players this year will be, Prior, Fifita, Johnson, Nikora and maybe Dugan if enough threequarters get injured.

The way he is going he'd handle it no problem.
But i think they will go with the Eary's.
2 x Eary's for the one head.

He sure deserves to be seriously considered but I think we should stick with Cleary, after-all we did win last year & that should mean something.
