Chad Robinson and Ryan Cross

Firstly I closely watched Chad play when he came on for the Roosters last night. I believe he has improved immensely as a player. Ricky Stuart has really transformed him. Assuming he comes over to us next year and assuming we do not get Pritchard I think he may be a permanent fixture in the 2nd row next to Hindmarsh.

Now on Cross, I think he is a MUST signing. He is better then Tate and is a natural try scorer. A class act. Imagine him next to Freshy next year!!!

i wouldn't mind if we signed Chad Robinson, i also think he has improved but if we dont sign him i wouldn't mind either.......about Ryan Cross, i think he is a good player but there are better centre/wigers that are still un-signed (Franze is one of them)

i would still have Langi as a definate starting centre next yr

Where is Franze? I know he had a major knee injury. I have not seen enough of him to comment.

Robinson reminds me of a player that can fill Ian Hindmarsh's void. I do not think our pack has been the same since he left.m

Franze has been struggling to find form after that knee injury. Wouldn't mind seeing an Italian Stallion in parra colours though.

Ryan Cross would be a great signing for us. Also signing players up from winning clubs is the only way to go. Success has a way of following such players around.

Parra needs someone who can play on the right-hand side that knows how to read the defensive pattern properly. I'm not sure that Cross is a perfect fit and hence, I think that Tate would be a better option. But I wouldn't be complaining about either mind you.

Don't kid yourself about Cross....he's just another in the longggggg line of players who are taking their managers advice and using Union to try to beef up their salaries....he'll be at the roosters next year.

Ricky Stuart said he is sick of players using the "union card" to suck more money. He also said he is very dissapointed in cross for this and that the roosters have made him an offer and if he doesnt take it by june 30 then he can leave.

Where was this quoted by Ricky Stuart? I doubt a coach would so openly criticize one of his own players.

Yeah I was driving in the car with the radio on and heard Ricky talking on the radio....he sounded really pissed....said he thought they had a good offer for Cross but now this.

But I think he's directing it more at his manager than Cross...greedy managers.

At the end Ricky said he wanted it sorted out by July 1st or they'd have to look elsewhere.....thats it Ricky, play hard ball!!!....I don't like Ricky much, but its about time someone gave a bit back to these players and their managers

It's a typical recruiting season. parra are linked to everyone, and no one comes (bar Pig).

With that in mind, I'd love to see the developing Langi outside a decent and settled pair of halves. Not that Brian SMith has ever given Parra that, mind you. However, if we DID sign Cross or Tate, wirth Langi and Dykes on the picture, we might actually make the semis (unless that is just a massive pipe dream as it is becoming nowdays)

i dont think langi is the answer to our centre woes  . he offers nothing in attack & is only an average defender. i'd rather ash in the centres and anderson on the wing. Anderson has more to offer in attack AND defence than junior langi.
my wings and centres would look like this:
2. grothe (picks himself)
3. ash graham/burty (to good of a defender to leave out but if going with an attacking centre would pick burty)
4. freshy (the new zealand rep picks himself)
5. anderson (great young blood who should play 1st grade for years to come)

Anderson is on the wing and has made way for peterson. I think langi is a good centre alternative seeing as freshie and killer are gone. He only signed a 1 year contract so it will be very interesting to see if he will come back. He made his name with that try against newcastle so iam not sure but he has backed up well lately. Id keep him.

i think anderson is better than petersen considering how many trys have been scored down langi and petersens side. grothe and ash compliment eachother with grothe attacking and ash defending and fresh and anderson are both allround players
