I heard Chad on the radio last week after their win, and he was Captain Cringe as usual.
They asked him something like ‘what did you make of the teams performance’…. His answer was ‘As the Captain of the team, I was really proud of their performance’….. why did he need to add ‘As the Captain’, and he kept saying it throughout the interview - As Captain this, as Captain that… it’s just endless self promotion….
Wonder if he’ll be as keen to talk this week about his Captains knock.

Well at the end of this season he should also be saying “ This season we just couldn’t put it all together again this year. As the Captain and halfback of the team I take full responsibility for the debacle of finishing just above the West Tigers on the ladder in 16th position.…..”

Dunno - west tigers looked like world beaters last night compared to Thursday’s Thirsty Flog worthy Townsend Co. (possibly future beer name Chad)
In rewatching Thursdays game, they were ordinary. Didn’t see it at the game, but man they just looked completely pathetic.
Spoon might be going north

Cowboys looked so unfit. There were times on the 4th tackle their forwards still weren't in position and walking to get behind the play the ball.

Frenzy.

That's true but not unique to the Calfgirls. I watch forwards from most sides lagging behind, especially in second halves of games. It's a by product of the speed the game is played and I daresay to a point quite deliberate. That's why the back 5 is so important to get as many metres as possible to reduce the run back for the forwards.

Take note of Panthers forwards. They just amble back like Brown's Cows
