I turned on too late it seems.:x Missed the first 25. Balls not sticking and over running chances from both teams. St Helen's should have been in after the Wellens break.

Saints are stuck with a dud on a four year contract.

They need to make a tough decision on Wellens too, the way the second slowest back in SL ran around him was embarrassing.

I thought Wellens was good in general, but he has never had speed. I agree with Hohia though and it's something I raised with the Saints fans last year. To me he is not a half, and the only reason he played in the test team at FB do long was because Webb messed his back up and there was litterally no one else. As soon as Locke turned up he was back into limbo. For me the worst signing made by any team in the off season.

As for Wigan, they are the best defensive team I have ever seen in SL. It takes something special to break them down. Tell you what though, losing Leuluai will be bad enough next year but if they lose Finch as well it will be a killer for them. Finch for the last 12 months has been awesome.

Tomkins is a great player but i do dislike the element of his game where it seems he wants to be known as a tough guy. How many times does he needlessly push the opposition player after the play the ball, particularly after receiving a dominant tackle? Just get on with it Sam - you are quality without it
