The "what if" is asking what might be if Queenslanders hadn't lost players to England, Union, representative retirement or simply weren't underdone due to long-term or current injuries, theorising that all those players were available and in peak form. Players who are retired altogether (eg Tallis) are not counted. Has to be players still playing footy here, in England or Union. My side would be:
1. Billy Slater
2. Lote Tuqiri
3. Chris McKenna
4. Shaun Berrigan
5. Wendell Sailor
6. Darren Lockyer
7. Adrian Lam
8. Shane Webcke
9. PJ Marsh
10. Steve Price
11. Brad Thorn
12. Dane Carlaw
13. Jason Smith
14. Petero Civoniceva
15. Carl Webb
16. Tonie Carroll
17. Matt Bowen
Heaps of players there that you could also put in - Wesser,O'Neill,Schif at fullback; Sing,C.Walker on the wing; Bowman,Tate,Tonga,D.Smith,Wagon in the centres; Prince,Thurston in the halves; Meyers,Flannery,Crocker,Nutley,C.Smith,Norton in the forwards; etc etc etc.
It's actually pretty hard to pick the side with the most potential but keep a good balance.
