My tips to go through are mostly the same as MT's, with just a few changes.

GROUP A
Bayern Munich
Lyon

GROUP B
Arsenal
Inter

GROUP C
Deportivo
PSV Eindhoven

GROUP D
Juventus
Galatasaray

GROUP E
Manchester United
Rangers

GROUP F
Real Madrid
Porto

GROUP G
Lazio
Chelsea

GROUP H
Milan
Ajax

Although I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see Celta go through in group H instead of Ajax.

Thierry Henry said:
OMG parrot, I can't wait for Arsenal to take Intercourse to town.
i can't wait for inter to score 4 goals like they did last time they went to england. vieri will have lots of fun getting through campbell and toure. thierry won't have it so easy against cannavaro, cordoba and matrix

truly the best team inter could be paired with. my dad's an arsenal supporter as well

Man Utd's group couldn't possibly be weaker. Good to see the Old Firm represented in its entirety, and both teams must be reasonably confident of a second round berth with their draws, which would be great for Scottish soccer. With Valencia absent this year I think I will be backing Arsenal, but those trips to Russia look less than desirable.

A reasonable draw for Celtic this season - we've had some shockers in the past.

To be honest, I think the Anderlecht tie will be the danger game because it's always the ones we're expected to win that are the most likely to bring Celtic undone (Caley, Croatia Zagreb). The Bayern Munchen tie will be awesome, I can't wait for that one.

My biggest concern is the old "buscuit tin" mentality that still grips the board at Celtic. One player on loan for four months is the only new face in the squad that reached the UEFA Cup final last season. Very poor. MON will have to extract every last drop of talent from the squad he's got to remain in Europe for any extended of time.

C'mon the Bhoys!!

Scores from last night

Panathinaikos 1 - 1 Rangers
Stuttgart 2 - 1 Manchester United
FC Porto 1 - 3 Real Madrid
Marseille 3 - 0 Partizan Belgrade
Chelsea 0 - 2 Besiktas
Lazio 2 - 2 Sparta Prague
Ajax Amsterdam 2 - 0 Club Brugge

Lazio struggled against Sparta coming from 0-2 down at the break to snatch a draw

Stuggart kept to their great start to the season with a win over Man United whilst Marseille turned the gas on during the 2nd half.
