Best attack, best defence.

A victory for good rugby.

:D:crazy::D

not quite yet you have a small matter of play-offs and a grand final to negotiate before you can call yourself Champions, even so well done on the league leaders shield over the season you desrve it.

congrats to Wire, enjoy your moment.

Hey i just saw the table, and why is it that there are 27 matches in the season? Does this mean that you play everyone twice, then there's one team that you play 3 times in the season?

i thought that may be the case, but it seems a shame, 26 would be the perfect number, there's a big difference between drawing a team like wigan and a team like salford, to play 3 times in the season. I'm opposed to MM anyway, but that's a debate for another day....

I was about to give Warrington my congrats and best wishes until you posted this tripe WM.

Thats fine, i've just seen my team win the league for the first time in my lifetime. :D

The league that has been around since 1895.

Warrington has won the premiership in my lifetime, but if you want to dismiss the league that has over a hundred years of history for an end of season contest, hyped for Sky then that is your decision.

If you think that is tripe just answer me this.

When super league started, if the bbc had the rights for the premiership, and Sky had the league and challenge cup, what do you think would be the biggest comp?

Seriously, rugby didn't start with super league. The Challenge cup was always bigger than the premiership, now its the other way round. The league will always be there. We named our sport after it. ;-)

Anyways, onto a tricky game against the Giants.

Come back when you know the history of the game WM. Playoffs weren't invented by Sky and were around for years before they began televising the sport. We had playoffs up until about 1973 when they split the one whole league into two smaller divisions. I suppose any Championships Warrington won without topping the table don't count in your world. I suppose you're getting your excuses in early if Warrington fail to win the GF when everyone bar Warrington fans will acknowledge the winners as the 2011 champions.

You see, this is what happens when someone posts without reading anthing.

I put above that Warrington hadn't won the league since the 50's, me and Roughy were discussing who has had to wait the longest. If you can't be bothered finding it, its two posts back.

So the Championships we won after that were just that. The challenge cups we won recently were also not devalued by us not winning the league. We were never league champions. We are now.

Next time we win, it won't be, "can Warrington win the league for the first time since the 1950's!"

As for the garbage about excuses. We are about to play the 4th best team. Win that then we will prob have to play them again (Awesome setup). Then we will have to beat either Saints or Wigan in a one off final. What excuses do I need to get in? Its hardly a forgone conclusion is it? We have already lost to two of those teams this year.
Losing to any of those teams isn't going to make this season a bad one. We are already confirmed as the best team in the league.

You never answered the question. I suppose its because you don't like the answer.

Warrington haven't won the league. They become league champions when they win the Grand Final. If you had said you hadn't topped the table since the 1950s then fair enough, but claiming to be Champions when you're blatantly not is just stupid.

We are the league champions.

You haters gotta hate, thats fine.

Onto the payoffs to find the super "league" champions.

I'm not a hater at all, I'm a complete neutral. Like I said, I can understand your excitement at topping the table. However, trying to claim that you have won the league when you haven't doesn't make any sense, and isn't going to achieve anything other than making you look a bit ridiculous. Do you also believe that St Helens were 'champions' in 2007 and 2008?
