They don't.

Giving a trophy for winning the playoffs in the final gives it a real Wembley type final feeling.

Yea, but I've always found it amusing that 3rd place in the championship gets a trophy and first doesn't...or do they?

And they don't have to go through the play offs.. Promotion via a play off final win is sweet.

Losing would be really shite though and I'd imagine difficult to get going the following season

The winners get to sing Campione! (or in England where for some weird reason they sing "Champyonees") what does 2nd place get to sing? The only way is up by Yazz?

QPR should have won the damn title with their wage bill!
Makes me sick.

I'd actually pick Derby to go up next year with 2 bouncing right back up.

Still, Huddersfield Town has finished highest for a long time, heres hoping we can make the play-offs next year

Aren't QPR facing a transfer ban and a £50 mil fine? If that sticks no chance if staying up as most of their players r on loan or r on massive wages that the will need to offload. Should have just let Derby go up lol.

Tell me bout it lol as I stayed earlier in the tread when I went to see them earlier in the year at loftus road it was a team full of premier league players. As the owner I would have been angrqt at Arry for not fininshing on top of the league.

With promotion being the ultimate end goal, I'm sure any disappointment is long gone..

The last time my team was promoted they should have easily taken a promotion spot, a run of draws mixed in with losses saw them disappointingly come third.

Winning the play offs and lifting a nice big trophy at Wembley took care of all disappointment, the interview one of the owners gave on the field afterwards was a great indication of that.

Hopefully Sam brings Ravel back from QPR.
