its been more then 1 crap game for Carney, if you guys label the herb as crap then carney is the guy that herb looks at and says "it could be worse".

the guy has 1 sh*t game and your labeling him a sh*t player.
get real, its the 2nd game of the year.

Having waddell on the interchange bench is probably the one and only smartest thing you've done/said.
lol you carney fanboys and your selective memories.

he scores a couple of tries and you forget his total ineptness in defense, the trys he leaks and the numerous unforced errors he causes each game.

besides that, the kid isn't cut out to be a solid winger or centre in the nrl. he's too short, he's swingspan is too small and he can't jump. the only spot i'd find for him is off the bench ala marshall chalk but not for a while after the performances he's put it. he needs to go back to the reggies and earn his keep.

that's rubbish donkey.

Carney's defence has been one of the worst this season (equal with purtel imo) but he looks the only player in the backline capable of breaking a tackle.

Monaghan's been more dissapointing.

he can look anyway, at the end of the day his let in a lot of tries and fails to contest the high ball.

His lack of defense is killing us on the flanks, the past two games we have been exploited simply cause teams know that a 5ft 1 winger who refuses to jump and charges out of the line is a liability.

He does have a few good runs but power wont be enough for someone like Carney, his getting exploited every set by the opposition.

Either move him to another position or drop him.

I think he should focus on bulking up (crazy i know) and moving to the back row.

He needs time in the lower divisions to get his defence right.

I would like to see him into the second row as a sub but to be honest there is no room for him there as we have great second rowers, its every other position than 5/8th that we need to fix.

Harrison should be a centre as he plays out wide anyway which would make room for TLL to start or thurling to start

Carney takes pressure off the forwards and is deadly close to the tryline. I think he had more to offer than Purtell who i don't see any reason for being in the team other than him being tall and the storm were after him. Purtell may defuse the occasional high ball but he's slow and gets dominated in every hitup. He 's role in the team is basically a support runner and thats all he's decent at.

My mind is undecided on Herbert, i will give him the benefit of the doubt for this season so far. If he's been unwell then i expect a big improvement from his this week. I was impressed with him last season however he didn't have a terribly hard job with campese in red hot form. If he's poor against the eels then its time to give mccrone or matt smith a go.

I echo most things you've said there.

I dont know why everyone is going after Justin carney, sure he dropped the occasional ball last week
but the bloke is built like a brick sh*thouse and is a punishing defender.
2008 is evidence of this.

2 games have been played in 2009 and everyone is jumping the gun a bit.
