Changes to personnel and tactics

Wright is an average player and hasn't done a lot wrong but he offers nothing in attack due to his lack of speed and creativity, I would give Gardner a shot next week.

Kicking was shite today......did we bomb them once particularly Robson who opted for his dainty little stab kicks all day?

Morris delivered on his usual two penalties per game.

We have limited options but we need better wingers next years. Staph and Williams are never going to create or deliver exciting match wining plays.

Next week I would go with the following which excludes Pom as he will get a few.

1. Gardner
2. Stapleton
3. Graham
4. Best
5. Williams
6. Robson
7. Carney
8. Ross
9. Degois
10. Gibbs
11. Smith
12. Fritzell
13. Gallen
14. Bakuya
15. Fafita
16. Tupou
17. Tafua

Personnel isn't the problem. The game plan is.

Anyone suggesting Gards comes back is off their head.

Agreed, I dont want Wright there. He offers absolutley nothing, but i have to disagree with you about Morris
He is a good asset to the team and quit frankly offers more than De Gois does.

Agree with most of that but bring Ricky Lootele back and have Wady of the bench. No sure about Gards at FB. The Mucas have outscored their opposition by 100 in the second half of their past umpteen matches. We need to score points agreed, but need to keep em out as well.

Agree 1000% on wright. Those who say his defense is strong are kidding themselves.

Can't expect De gois to go the full 80 so morris stays. Robson has been pathetic for months now. I'd line up like this:

Gordon/Gardner if fit enough
Stapleton
Luetele
Best
Williams
Carney
Townsend
Ross
Degois
Gibbs
Smith
Topou/graham if fit
Gallen
Subs:
Fifita
Morris
Frizzell
Toops/bakuya if Toops starts because graham is out.

Not a lot wrong! 6 points to the Cowboys today. Trouble is Gards is no better. If not rating Wright, Stapo and Hotdog makes you a slitter so be it. Rating them makes you a lunatic. We lost today to a team that didnt care or have a thing to play for. Criticise and you are a slitter. Probably flog Canberra and lose to Souths in the last minute. Felt sorry for Bestie. Deserved better.

Waste of $100. Should have put it in the charity bucket and gone home and watched Fox. Toops was on $400k form and Pom was great too. Did Toops play?

There were people behind me going to Canberra next week. We could always pick Ike and Leutele I suppose. Have a great day.

Sunny day , Fathers day, decent crowd, home final to play for. Seriously. Saves trudging down to a Sydney home semi.

Forgot to add that TC looked very dusty with the injury and must be a major doubt for next week. Clearly limping and unlikely to be 100%. We usually win the games you don't expect. 4 on the run?

No. The under 12's have prior commitments. My sons A reserves team lost a GF at Shark Park last weekend but at least they had a dig. They had mad Monday but I will ask them how they are fixed. I thought their backs lacked a bit of pace:) pace or catching ability not a pre-requisite. You should have seen Stapo in the warm up. Couldn't catch a cold. Cowboys fans were laughing at him. It was funny. He missed one into the sun by metres.

Have been over at the Mucas forum to sus out how they're feeling. They are understandably confident. Brooose Stadium wont hold any fear for our lads. TC knows it better than any other field in the NRL and a Sunday arvo wont be anywhere near as cold as a night game. Last time we spanked em here. Their defence is shithouse in the first half then they come storming home with tries deluxe. Im f**ken dissapointed that we lost today and last week but still positive about next week.

They aren't a bad side to draw in the semis if we can get a lead early and get into the grind. They aren't a great defensive side and don't like high intensity.

If they start well then we are stuffed because we can't go try for try with them. Todays game was a perfect example of what happens to us when we go try for try with a good attacking side. We don't have the arsenal to come from behind.

Agree Weopon. We shouldnt be too worried about the location and the opposition to be honest. Our problens appear self made. We turn up missing for some reason. PS compare our post counts!!

They can pour on the points though. We can't afford to go behind against them cause we don't have the points.

Gardner is our first grade fullback.

I've gone along with the walking tackling bag in the 1 jumper.

But the joke has gone on long enuff....I'm right royally pizzed off now.

First half..I'm watching Carney go thru. Then Gal. I'm waiting for the fullback. Waiting. Waiting.
Is the fugger in the bar getting some cans?
Because I have no idea what else he could possibly be doing - his team has the ball. Is he under instructions to play the role of spectator, because I know Slater, Stewart and Bowen would have been looming.

And those kicks returns where he runs back halfhearted and drops to the ground when the first hand is laid on him?....seriously? I'm thinking we have a sniper every time. Every time.

And his golden moment. After he drops the sitter and segarayo sells him a dummy from dummy half to score he turns and blows up at the bloke beside him.

If we take this guy into the semis we are amateur hour.

Hotdog???...3 times in 2 consecutive games?

Pre-scripted interchanges?...De Gois is going well and creates a play that bamboozles the cows to score. His reward?..the hook.
Hasn't anyone on the coaching team identified this pattern over the past 20 odd weeks?

Robson?...run the fuggin pill.

Carney?....once the game's gone buddy, it's too late. Show your skills when we're still in it, not when it's gone.

What a disappointing afternoon. Well, not for David Furner.
