Last year's Charity Shield was such a deflating event.. the team really struggled to put anything together and then capitulated. Thankfully they looked much much better the following week against the Tigers (in Mudgee). Fingers crossed our second trial is the better of the two again this season because the Bunnies have had a mortgage on the shield in recent times. I know we used to joke about this game being Souths grand final.. but... I kinda miss winning it. Would be nice.

Yep 3 of the 4 spine players are new - no other NRL club has had such a transformation to the spine this year. Big opportunity but a big challenge too
