Yk Rev with the extra size, centre is not a bad shout.
my bad I meant Lawson for ctr or fullback, I think we are not even scratching his ability yet.. hes running hard and catching his bombs..... but he can do a lot more than that.. the qn is how fast can he adapt and learn..

Sloan im not sure, I feel like he is in a state of flux.. but like if Gutho is injured tomorrow.. or even Kyle.. I think Sloan is our 1st grade fullback, so I do feel he should be working on that.. im a bit worried hes gonna end up not nailing either position.. but.. his time at wing will help him as a fullback... he will learn some things.

Had a great day out at Mudgee in the stinking heat. We played great. I was very unimpressed with the ground however all shops running out of water about 10 mins after kick-off, surely that’s some sort of safety issue. You also can’t park anywhere near the ground despite their being empty fields galore not easy walking 3km in the heat with small children.

The rollercoaster ride even in a trial is wild for us.
Over the moon for 35 minutes.
Pissed off for 25 minutes.
An awkward 5 minutes, then relief for 15 minutes.
I get a feeling the trial was a miniature snapshot of the entire season ahead of us.

We can now expect a little of everything, good and bad, from this playing group.

No matter what happens, you feel the excitement as there is a very obvious change in the air.

Holmes is all class and still has some pace. Watched the game live and the replay a couple of times and enjoyed his exceptional hands in picking up difficult takes.

Finau in one try did very well to take a ball behind his body at pace to score. He is a walk up start. Like to see him and others work on try put downs. I would hate to see this haunt us at critical times.

Great to see formation in the back line and simple structures executed well, eg, one of our tries down the left side in the first half was something I haven't seen from us in a long time.

One feeling I am left with after the game is that for the first time in many years we are starting to develop a squad. As supporters we are seeing and talking about competition for spots in the team.

Some good young players coming through too.

The squad is nowhere near complete, we need to move a few players on soon, if possible.

Finally, not a Klemmer fan in any respect but if we get him on board I will trust the coach's decision and be open to the view that it may strengthen our squad.

Long way to go for us but the top 13 looks good and the depth that it takes to make the top 8 is starting to come together.

I only ever expect our team to be competitive and play smart footy. I want to look forward to each game and know the guys have respect for the jumper and the fans

I am feeling that this developing squad will provide the above.

Top 8 this year would be delightful.

i have seen quite a few premierships for us over the years, they are not easy to get. For me, 2010 was enough.

My son was born in 2010 (a vintage year), I would love to see him experience the joy of seeing the dragons holding the trophy.

If that ever happens, the source of that I feel will be what we are seeing now under Flanno.

Enough from me now for a while.

Best to all

Pretty much this. We are nowhere near a polished consistent side. But we finally have some exciting backline tries. A reliable fullback. Leaders that care. A happy playing group. A coach.
Yesterday was a snapshot of the season ahead though, you’re dead right, roller coaster ride incoming.
