I think the depth problem has been highlighted though. Queensland lose a player its huge. NSW lose a player, they replace him with someone equally as good.

Lockeyer no 2? I think players like Hindmarsh, Minichiello, Kennedy etc deserve such cred. Lockeyer is another overated Bronco - his barrow pushed hard by Broncos management and the QLD press.

He's a damn fine player,mind you. However, he is MIA material.

I love how Queenslanders kept putting the MIA tag on Fittler. Freddy's been there, done that, with pressure right on, at all levels. Lockeyer is yet to do it at any level.

care to give comparison stats - i.e., the same teams when lockyer was not at 5/8?? I'd imagine Queensland and Australia may well have done better without Lockyer at 6..

He's a fine player obviously, but only the nepotistic Qld attitude that they MUST have the best or second best player in the world means that he's even discussed in the same breath as Johns... If bennett shows some integrity, Lockyer wouldn't even be 3rd choice as Aust captain, and on the last two Origin games would only be the third choice 5/8

I dont think Johns will be around 2010.
I heard the same stuff in 2000 when they said QLD would not win again...they won the next yr. Yes, they have done F all since, but QLD will be back.

I suggest your definition of "aggression" is way off the mark. Crocker is a dirty thug, with no idea of sportsmanship whatsoever.

He was constantly throwing elbows into tackles, pushing players after they scored and generally acting like a twat. He is someone who has no sportsmanship and shows no respect to the opposition on the field.
