How are they going to assemble their squad? I know they've been given a favourable draw in the draft but apart from that are they just expected to do their best signing free agents? Are there any big name players that have been touted as possible targets for the franchise?

There are plenty of quality free agents for them to consider weasel. Kobe Bryant for one has expressed his desire to test the free agent market, although his opinion on it hasn't been discussed since he went into court.

The Bobcats were automatically given the #4 draft pick prior to the lottery and whilst the class of graduates this year are nowhere near as talent flustered as the Lebron/Carmelo draft of yester year, they should still be able to pick up a quality player in either Leul Deng or Shaun Livingston.

Charlotte is a very good place for the team to be based. I was surprised they were relocated in the first place but I wouldn't be surprised if they went well. There's also been a realigning of the conference boudaries which I'll post on soon.

The NBA will also have an expansion draft where each team is allowed to protect 8 players (I think), and the Bobcats can pick one from each team. After a team loses a player, they can then protect another player. Something like that, anyway, I'm not sure how many players the Bobcats can pick altogether. Sometimes in these cases a team will leave an older player with a big salary unprotected, hoping that he's not attractive to a new team. It will be interesting to see who gets left unprotected this year.

After a team loses one player in the expansion draft they can't lose another. i think the Bobcats can take 10 players. look for guys like big Z from the cavs and Grant Hill to be left unprotected.

Grant Hill has been Injury ravaged since he left Detriot
I would expect Charlotte to take this into acount if Orlando wont draft guard him
and I heard about the new conferences that New Orleans are going over to the Western Conference and theyre place in the East would be taken by the new entity in the Charlotte Bobcats
