Probably better centre than winger (where he showed nothing).

PS did you see the don't argue on Molzten and Molzten's frustration at the end he had had Blair's by the ankles and then rolled him over?

Been saying this all along, finally Kearny saw what was painfully obvious, took him long enough.

Blair did enough to keep the centre spot over Esi and Morgan for the rest of the year imo. And it comes with the added bonus of having Burt back in the top 17.

Impressed with Ryan too, a few dropped balls early though. But his individual effort for the first try was the first sign of the type of effort and determination that all 17 should be aiming for, but for the whole 80mins.

yeah I do agree but Ryan Morgan has really impressed for wenty lately and is more than capable if needed, 3 tries yesterday a couple the week before and one of few players knocking on the door..

as for Esi??? pffft please....

Matt Ryan was outstanding today and I'm really happy for him,

I hope Esi looks good in black, because he might be wearing it for a long time.... But yeah Staggs, I reckon Morgan is an OK option too - was ok last year, didn't really deserve to get dropped imo. (But neither should Burt imo, so it's good he's found his way back into the side.)

The way these things go, they'll probably be a backline spot open up through injury etc before too long for Morgan to get back to first grade. Ryan gave it good go, we really do (and always had?) a decent amount of depth in the club already... :sarcasm.

Bartman: Added bonus of having Burt back in is a good balance to the squad.

Esi and Morgan can be back ups for injuries. Blair is quality, its only his first year and 8th game so he will be something special at centre over the next couple of years. Prototype Centre build.

Matt Ryan another great player! Maybe some of Kearney's youth focus is starting to pay off!!

But, but, but people don't want to wait to see the results.
They want them now, so we need to sack Kearney.
NOW.

Neither Cheyse Blair or Matt Ryan are juniors so it also shows Kearney's Academy thing as useless as T^&* on a bull. The theory of buying good young talent from other clubs is far more cost effective than trying to develop your own.

If everyone club had that attitude of not developing juniors where would the good young talent come from?

I reckon most people are prepared to wait to see results? I don't smell the same desperation of new fans/members/voters that were keen for results in 2010, for example.

It's just more people are starting to feel Kearney is not the man to delivery any results. I'm happy to wait another few seasons - just with a (different) coach capable of taking things forwards over time, rather than backwards.

I believe in the plan that our coaching staff are putting in place but angry and Devestated about the current results. Stick with Kearney I say but it will be tough.
