Chook Head Brian

Does anyone have any idea what has happened to our unoffical mascot, Brian.

He has been head of Brians Turner Stand Army for as long as my hubby can remember and my kids think he is great.

Brian is a nice old fella and he is usually everywhere the Roosters are but this year he has been no-where to be seen.

If anyone has any info I would greatly appriciate as footy stadium is not the same place without him.

The last time I saw him was at the Grand Final. He was sitting in someone else's seat in front of us until they came and kicked him out. I don't think he did find his sit cause he ended up standing in the aisle for the first half and I never saw him again. I looked for him after the game but couldn't see him/

His mother has been very ill, bed ridden if you will and brian has been looking after her.

Some rumours have been going around about him dying at the dogs game, players saying things about him after the grand final. All that is crap.

Some times there are priorities even the biggest league fans cannot put aside. As much as we love our footy our families are the most important thing in our lives.

We hope to see brian back at the stadium soon !

I remember having chats with that old tropper for years and years now. I have not seen him around for a while either. A real odd sort of guy, I kind of remember him telling me his sticks were sacred and he was putting a spell on the opposition. I thought "Who the hell is this fruitcake".

In hindsight, he probably just took the piss out of me.

Hi Everyone this is the Roosterman Brian Cooley's Daughter Jessica. My father went to every home game in 2004 besides some as he had to put his family first. His mother wasn't well at the time and he stayed home to look after her. My father is well alive today and has gone to every home game this year. As many might not know me and my brother have been told by dad's doctor that our father has dementia. If any questions about my dad please come to myself please. My father does have a facebook account and me and my brother have just sent up a page for him on fb and updates will be up on there about our father. Please understand that me and my brother are the only ones that know what is going on with our dad so please don't go asking his other family members thanks. GO ROOSTERS

I saw Brian and said hello at one of the games this year

Good to see the ol' mucka still kicking along

Jess - sorry to hear about his dementia. Something that ran rampant through my family at different times, so I can sympathise with what you'll be facing

I wish you and yours all the best

No one was recently asking online about your Dad. You do realise you have dug something up which is 11 years old?

Anyway, sorry to hear about his health issues. Wishing him, you and the family all the best.

Sorry to hear about the dementia.

He's spoken of pretty fondly in my family. I used to talk to him at North Sydney Oval all the time. One day he was doing his ritual on Gus near the tunnel.
