Freak I hate Anstey like nothing else. But yes he's an absolute beast. He's bailed Melbourne out on many occasions. He'll fight with it out Worthington for the Hummer @ the end of the season.

Right now Wortho has dropped out of MVP contention.

I think it will be a battle between Ere and Jawai and maybe even Homicide

I think it needs more Shawn Redhage?

Alex Loughton dominated Wortho last time they met
Paul Rogers dominated Jawai last time they met
Paul Rogers dominated Anstey last time they met

I don't think there is a clear cut NBL MVP favourite as yet. Most of the games I have seen this season have involved the Wildcats and the 'MVP favourites' have been shut down. So I am going to class Redhage as the MVP favourite! :p

Sorry I left redhage out but you are right he should be right up there if not the front runner. You just can't stop the big fella.

My top 5 MVP runners right now would be

1: Redhage
2:Jawai
3:Homicide Williams
4:Wortho
5: Anstey

All of which can make this title their own if they have a big end of season.

I would have Hinson as a very very distant dark horse. If he and the pigs can keep playing like we did against Bullets on friday night then he will shoot right back up that ladder.

MVP is a 3-horse race

Anstey
Ere
Redhage

Anstey suffered a jaw injury against Perth the other night, so fitness might play a key role...it is an awesome prize for the MVP this season though

Tough to give it to Ere considering he has Bruton, Sam [currently injured] and Dusty on the team. Give most stars 25+ shots they should get close to MVP favouritism.

And the stupid fans in Brisbane 'EBI for MVP' Pfffffft please!

fair call...Anstey is without doubt the most valuable player on his team at the moment, although the way Lampley has fitted in has been outstanding

Dave Thomas out for 6 - 8 weeks
Martin Muursepp
D-Mac - Coming off the bench in favour of Nathan Crosswell
Daryl Corletto
David Stiff

The only ones playing well for the Tigers [not dominating] is Stephen Hoare and David Barlow.

Well I consider [for this season anyways] the ineffective [you call sh*t support players] Thomas [inj], Muursepp [sh*t], D-Mac [
not dominate], Crosswell [not dominate], Corletto [streaky shooter], Stiff [not dominate], Greer [inj/ineffective] and Westover [who?]

You could even class Stephen Hoare as non dominate but super effective.

David Barlow and Chris Anstey have been basically carrying the Tigers this season.

So in closing Chris Anstey's support cast isn't better then Ebi's.

They have been team orientated. Wortho was the front runner for a while.

My pick would be Shawn Redhage.

Yeh, and Ebi and CJ have been carrying the Bullets so what's your point? Slammin Sam hasn't been on the court for half the season. Rychart, Bradshaw. Hill, Williamson and co have done very little.

My point is Ebi isn't a MVP's arsehole.
