He's not a great player, hes pretty much in the bottom 3 5/8's in the comp. I think that you reefy pretty much want every single player off contract to be linked to the sharks no matter how trivial. Also why would Bailey be linked to us when we already have 2 better 5/8's at the club.

I think he is much higher that bottom 3. I reckon he is top 3 & so do the 4 clubs that were after him.

I'm extremelly happy we didn't get another Bailey. We got rid of one and I couldn't stand the idea of having another one.
Both similar players and the older one destroyed our backline when he was here. Bloody ball hogs.

I'm another who won't be losiing any sleep over Bailey going to The Beagles. I don't think he's a useless bum or anything but he's a learner and we have enough learners in the halves. We need an experienced campaigner.

The rebuilding is going well but it will stall if we don't get Barrett or someone like him.

No time now for learning on the job. Not while players like Kearney, Ross, Weirdo, Bird and Gallen are peaking. Then there's a whole other group who are about to start peaking as their game tallies get up. Blokes like Pom, Ando, Douggie, Buster.

This is why Barrett is so important. Put a learner in now and we miss the boat as said learner gets used to running a team. By then a lot of our stars will have peaked and be on the wind down.

Stuart's got it right going for Barrett. We have to strike while the iron is hot and there is no one else on the market that can bring Barrett's experience and smarts to the table.

Cooper will stay, but I reckon Barnes next contract will be the one that sees him return to league.

If the price was right I think he would be an good addition to our pack. That gives us time to get Mannah and Vave time to mature without the pressure of 1st grade. We could rotate them and bring them on slower. Plus it helps us during Origin.
