Newc I'm glad the sook is gone.

Anyone else who isnt motivated and can't cop criticism and just wants to sook with their big head can exit Redfern immediately I say.

Needs to seriously grow a pair. Thats the big problem is the modern game, players cannot hack being critiqued.Years ago,the player would go away with the shits with the coach/selectors and say to himself Im going to prove the bastards wrong. But in the modern game they just ask for a release and move to another club. Fuggin pussies.:x

Always been overrated. Can't cop criticism. Signed for another team before the season had even began. Lazy trainer. Soft defence. I can't believe the fools on here who said they wanted to keep him. Won't achieve anything in the NRL.

Exactly, Grevsmuhl was a dud.........he leaves the club and all the media leaks seem to have stopped as well.

Former Rabbitoh Chris Grevsmuhl Tears Strips Off Coach Michael Maguire
Tags: South Sydney Rabbitohs, Chris Grevsmuhl, Michael Maguire, Penrith Panthers

Chris Grevsmuhl has fired some explosive shots at former coach Michael Maguire, saying that he couldn't work under Madge and labelling the coach is a "mind games specialist".

Breaking his silence after making a move to the mountains earlier this season, Grevsmuhl said that his relationship with Madge became toxic after the loss to the Wests Tigers in round nine.

“He’s a mind-game specialist. He breaks you down mentally,’’ Grevsmuhl told The Daily Telegraph.

“He called me in on a Monday (after the Wests Tigers’ loss) at training. He questioned why I was there, the effort I was putting in, he questioned whether my head was already out here (at Penrith), and questioned why I was talking to other clubs.

“Nothing had been said about this before, but this day he brought it all out, and the things he said I remember as clear as day. I gave him my side of things, but I guess he didn’t believe it. I don’t know if he thought he was going to motivate me, but it had the exact opposite (effect).’’

Maguire is known to run a tight ship, and after coaching the Rabbitohs to a grand final victory in 2014, his team has struggled to reclaim that flair and dominance.

Grevsmuhl made his debut for the Rabbitohs in the Auckland Nines and World Club Challenge before playing a regular NRL game. See footage of the Auckland Nines win below.

Jason Clark on Ch9 news spoke up for Madge so it really does appear that Grevsmuhl was/is having a dummy spit.

I'm both saddened and angered by Chris Grevmuhl's comments. The main reason that I feel these sentiments is because they were completely uncalled for. I can understand that Chris and Maguire were at loggerheads in terms of expectations, behavior, coaching styles etc; Chris obviously didn't fit into South Sydney and Maguire's culture. However, what is disappointing is that he has felt the need to come out publicly and lash out at his former coach, particularly when he didn't need to say those things. The player wanted a release from Souths, which he got. The best thing to do from this point is to keep his head down, his bum up and get to work at his career going at Penrith. What happened with Madge is history, however it is obviously bothering him to the extent that he needs to come out and start a war with his ex-coach; maybe he would be best of seeking psychological help. I think that for such a young player to be taking on an institution as big Souths is a serious, serious mistake and has the potential to derail his career even more. As I have implied before, Grevsmuhl needs to get past what happened at Souths both for the benefit of his career and his personal well-being.

a loser attitude .

would expect some juvenile disrespect from him if souths held him to his contract and let him wallow at Norths . This is what Panthers did to Grant versus releasing him..........instead he is showing his colours .

leave it to Karma

southsport you said no souths player in a jersey is a dud me and r20 got ya lol

No Shadow don't chime in when it was myself who caught him out.

I got you Southsport. You were always saying Grevsmuhl couldn't tackle or hold the ball and that he shouldn't be in first grade.

I'm the winner:)
