Some piece of shit movie with Plunkett in the title, I can't even remember it. It was in the late 90s.

Also Johnny English.

Dreamgirls. Took the GF during the Oscar hype. We were both laughing at how bad it was during the movie and had enough after Jennifer Hudson tormented us with "I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" for what seemed like an eternity. Got some ironic claps from some of the lads still stuck in the trenches with their mrs as we left.

Does sleeping in movies count the same? I've fallen asleep in plenty. T3 was the quickest. Only got 15mins in.

Batman with Jack Nicholson...not because of the movie. I was a sick as a dog. I was pretty sick when I went to watch Terminator 2 as well....did not miss a second though.

Scary Movie 2. I fell asleep after 10 minutes and woke up about 20 minutes later and decided to leave.

On the topic of falling asleep during movies, I've got a weird one and I wonder if anyone has experienced something similar.
The Matrix is one of my favourite movies, I think most in here would admit that it's a classic, but it took me about 8 or 9 attempts to watch the whole thing through without falling asleep. The first half a dozen or so times I watched it was on fta tv so maybe the ad breaks had an affect, but i would always fall asleep betweem Morpheus getting captured and the lobby scene. After 5 or 6 failed attempts on tv i rented the dvd, and even though i deliberately watched it in the middle of the day but again i would fall asleep just after morpheus was captured. Next day i tried again, this time i went to sleep during the scene where morpheus is explaining the real world to Neo. I resigned myself to never being able to watch the whole movie in one go (id rewind/fast forward to the point that i went to sleep and watch from there) until about 5 years ago when I found it playing on foxtel. Despite again getting drowsy during the aftermath of Morpheus'es capture i managed to make it all the way through, and since then I've watched the movie about a dozen times without ever feeling tired. Has this ever happened to anyone else

Yes, happened to me as well actually.

Took me 3 attempts to watch it all.

The Matrix has the opposite effect on me. No matter what time of day or night it's on, or how tired I am when I stumble across it, I am watching it till the end.

Saw it for the first time as the last movie of an old fashioned movie marathon. Experiencing it for the first time while completely exhausted at 3:00am was the f**king perfect state of mind to watch the movie in

I actually listened to The Matrix on a plane one time, travelling from Japan back to NZ in 99 (I had already seen in at the movies back home). For some reason the picture wasn't coming up on screen but it was playing through the headphones (from around that time the agents were about to get Trinity at the start of the movie). Was actually a really interesting experience sitting back with my eyes closed visualising the movie as I was listening to it!

I've never fallen asleep at the cinema, but find myself dozing off during movies watched at home all the time, getting old I think is the word for it!!!

My least pleasant movie experience was probably a hungover attempt to watch The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus (or whatever the full title was). I was half watching, half trying to not think about spewing hah. Never again. Should really try to watch that again with a clear head (and stomach)!
