City v Country

But I thought I was Terry Quinn. That's what you've been trying to allege all day. And now some 14-year-old kid behind a computer screen in Sydney says I'm from Tasmania and you believe that as well. Make up your mind. Which complete bullshit do you believe? I'm not surprised you believe in fairy stories seeing as you think CRL junior numbers are falling and that Auskick is amazing. You'll clearly believe any old shit you like.

See. Believe anything. Why don't you ask your little mate how he came up with this amazing accusation? It'd be interesting to see how he deduced this bit of (mis)information.

You've only got to look at the debacle with Buderus this week, and the way the situation was dealt with in the casino junior league recently to see what a shambles the CRL is, whether junior numbers are up or not....it could be run a lot better than it is........

Are you saying both situations were dealt with to the best of the CRL's abilities???

They couldn't even abide by their own constitution when dealing with the casino situation.....lol

This despite some of the shoddy dealings as of late, is a very good point.
There has never been a more poorly managed sport than Rugby League in Australia. I mean the guys that set it up back in 1907 started it and it continues.

We had Super League and now we have Gallop who comes across as a person without business sense. Comparing Storm fans to terrorism or whatever it was? Amateur hour.

People like this get far more credit than they deserve just like the people who turn up week after week, usually volunteering in CRL and NSWRL junior and senior competitions get far less credit than they deserve.

Yeah they should make Buderus play injured.

As for Casino, the CRL has a duty to protect existing clubs. If they'd let a new club come along and two years down the track they both folded the same f**kwits would be crying that the CRL did the wrong thing. They had figures that proved that this town couldn't sustain two clubs long term and they made sure the existing long-standing club was protected. Just because the Daily Telegraph, and one particular journo who hates Terry Quinn because Quinn stood up to lies he has told previously, decided to tell half the story and because other Sydney media decide to tell half the story doesn't make any of it fair or accurate. These dickheads would have never been to Casino, or anywhere else in country NSW. But they still think they can take half the story and run with it. All the CRL staff, including the regional area managers, development officers, and executive - who are independent of clubs - are slandered while a handful of bias peole with a grudge are treated like all they say is gospel.

Some other clown was on here last week saying it was the CRL's fault that Bellingen was struggling in Group 2. Apparently it's the CRL's fault that the local saw mill closed and the players all left to look for work elsewhere. Even though it was the CRL who sent its staff in to sort that very same club out a few years ago because they couldn't get a side on the park - even when the saw mill was still running.

It's just the same old bullshit all the time. Some no-name nuffies who have never lifted a finger to do anything for the sport in the bush sit on their arse and bag off of the CRL from behind their computer screens. If they didn't tell lies, believe other people's lies and make basless assertions, like the fact that junior numbers are falling, they might have some right or reason to criticise. But of course they don't.

I can only comment on what I have see in my personal experience.

Here in Group 19 junior numbers across the board are on the rise from a low point of 5 or 6 years ago.

CRL themselves are doing a decent job up this way and no complaints that have been made so far in this thread reflect what I have seen.

The Country vs City clash is one of my favourite fixtures of the year and for me it's very much relevant to the season.
