CL Quarter Final Draw: Hopes/Predictions

I'm not worried about any team. I wouldn't mind playing Chelsea actually, their form has been patchy. Granted, they are a team that can play like total crap for 90 minutes and still manage to win, or do enough to progress.

If I had to pick a team, I'd want to play Bayern. I saw alot of defensive errors when they played Real. Errors that would have been punished if Real weren't such a rabble.

Thing that impresses me about Roma is our defence. We just kept Lyon scoreless away, despite them not having lost a game at home since 2003. It's going to take something very special to break down Chivu-Mexes. :)

Only one thing scares me about Chelsea. It is called Drogba and it can score from anywhere. If you are leading and you think you are safe BANG that is when he is at his most lethal. Just a momentary lapse in concentration outside the box is all it takes and it doesnt have to be your central defender's fault.

The rest of Chelsea is decidedly average.

I don't think we have too much to fear from the way any of the other teams play as long as we are on our game.

I can only assume you're talking about this:

The Special One said:
The linesman scored the goal. No-one knows if that shot went over the line and you must be 100%

Build a bridge man... Mourinho was rightly chastised for his ridiculous remarks, and only blind idiots believed what he was saying.

Hopefully this time you will have to score a goal to qualify;-)

Eddie, you better tell Frank that you have to at least get a shot on target to be awarded even the dodgy ones. Spraying sitters into the grandstand just won't cut it.

Yeah, because it's not like Lampard scores from outside the box...

Same could be said about Gerrard.

For all their many long range "crackers", the success rate of these shots is very low from both players.

PSV v Man Utd
Roma v Chelsea
Liverpool v AC Milan
Valencia v Bayern Munich

I would be very happy with that very good ties all of them. :D

17 goals from Midfield.

Leading Goal Assists.

Not much more to say really.

You would take 1 in 10 though wouldn't you.

Its not like there is a player out there with a 7 in 10 ratio from outside the box.

Interestingly Chelsea have been drawn a HOME FIRST in both the Quarter Final and the Semi Final (if they progress)

To mine this is an advantage. I might be in the minority here but i much prefer the first leg at home.

Looks like we will get our revege at Anfield and qualify for the Final right there. Nice ;)

the whole "play the second leg at home" is a load of sh*t, biggest urban myth ever. i actually think it's usally an advantage to play at home first, if anything

I completly agree

having the away goals thing hanging over your head at home in the second leg is something i never enjoy.

Happy with that draw, I prefer to play at home first as well. Conceed no away goals and set yourself up nicely.

Roma match should definately be televised too. :)

PSV are my favourite team (After Celtic), I can't wait for this! But that said, I won't be too upset if Liverpool win...because Liverpool vs Chelsea AGAIN would be awesome!
