noooooooo!!!!

i signed up to foxtel on the easter weekend..

installation was supposed to be 2 weeks ago but they needed to do extra cabling work to my house..

so instead of getting to kick back and watch the classics, i can sit back and have a look at the trench that was dug over a week ago still waiting for the foxtel people to come do the cable.

stupid foxtel.

pub or club nearby have it ?

Only one, but it'd be a hike..

Plus, I have a rather large ANZAC day planned, plus a road trip to Newcastle for the dragons game, off to see Tool on Saturday nite with a mate, as well as a bucks day next month..

Throw into the mix the fact Mrs muzby is 5 months pregnant, it's probably best for domestic relations at home that I stay in tonight and give her a foot rub whilst she watches MKR..

I'm so glad they have the 2003 game on. I remember it was quite a narrow victory against a very good roosters side, but I was unable to see the game back then because I was at wonderland with my family as a nine year old. Had to listen to it on the radio on the way back home. Finally 10 years later I can watch it. Funny how Warren Smith said it's a 'very good crowd'. Oh how the standards have slightly risen since then.

point 1 - wonderland. how f**king awesome was that place. here's a great site that an ex-worker started up which captures a heap of memories of the place:

http://www.wonderlandhistory.net/ (not a rick roll, I promise :) )

point 2 - 2003 Anzac day game. I remember that one so clearly. was on a holiday down here in Melbourne, and was sitting at the casino watching it. they had 3 big screens, one showing nrl, one showing afl and one showing the TAB. with about 7 minutes to go & the game in the balance, the NRL screen switches over so there were 2 AFL screens.

a few of us sitting there watching it threw up our hands in anguish, and managed to run and find a small sports bar outside the main casino that had it on, and managed to see barrett take that intercept...

and that moment started my love of Anzac day footy..

There's a lot of bloody intercepts in this game...

I remember 2003 well.

Gasnier & Ryles pu;led out before kick off, replaced by Donnelly & Nero.

Anzac Day, both games against Penrith who won it that year & Rd 26 against Brisbane were about the only highlights.

supporting a crap team makes you appreciate how special a win is sometimes...at least you wake up each morning hoping for something. after 2010, it was like when the fish in the finding nemo had escaped the tank and were just floating in the water. after all the euphoria, a fish asked...now what?
