Remember when it happened - before this the John Dyson catch was usually touted as the best catch of all time... but when this happened - it had competition.

Anyone know the story behind this bizarre move?

I can’t remember it, never seen it done any other time, and don’t know why you’d do it.

Perhaps pre-meditating the swipe to mid on and a rushed single - so 1st slip is able to stop the return throw..?
