Don't bother watching taxi driver it is pure shit. I can tell you now what happens. Dude takes a girl he likes to a porno theatre and is then surprised when she walks out and friendzones him. This gets the dude mad and he goes on a white knight crusade. End.

One of the most overrated movies of all time, and RDN is probably my favourite actor.

Haven't seen (that I want to see):

Citizen Kane
Vertigo
Pulp Fiction
It's a mad mad mad world

I was very disappointed with Taxi Driver, it's not bad but hardly the ground breaking movie it's lauded to be. Plot is non-existent, making it a character study in theory, but the protagonist is a loon so it was hard to get engaged.

I wasn't a huge fan of Goodfellas either. I see where it was aiming by taking the viewer through the perspective of group of scumbags, similar to Wolf of Wall Street, however Wolf ended up an entertaining dark comedy whereas this just pandered on despite being nicely shot and acted. Having unlikeable protagonists is a hard thing to pull off.

I loved "Taxi Driver". Robert De Niro IS the film. I agree with you on "Goodfellas" though...it was a good watch, not much more than that.

Deliverance - I've been meaning to watch this a thousand times, but something about watching insane hillbillies always puts me off at the last minute.

I've seen most of the films listed here in this thread, with The Deer Hunter probably my favourite of all time. Christopher Walken's Russian roulette scenes effected me in a profound way.

Deliverance is a tad overrated....I enjoyed it though.

Agree on the Walken scene.
