The Time has come for the club to have a cleanout from the Boardroom down to some players. This is the 5th season we haven't made the playoffs thats the longest run of all the 16 clubs in the NRL since 2004, all the other sides have made the finals at least once in the last 5 seasons except us.
We have one of the biggest Junior bases in the NRL yet we had one of our worst years in the lower grades Harold Matthews and SG Ball sides are usually are in the top 4 every year this they limped into the finals, Under 20s failed to make the 8, Reserve grade failed to make the 8 and last but not least first grade Failed, Is this all part of Mick Leary's 10 year plan?
Recruitment is another is another dead issue at Penrith The club can not seem to identify and keep talent Peter Wallace should never have left the club neither should Matthew Wright, Junior Tia Kilifi and Paul Aiton.Adam Woolnough would have to be the worst buy in Penrith's history it was common knowledge during 2007 that he had a serious neck injury that would hamper his career yet our management in its wisdom signed him up for three years on a heavy contract.
Negotiation Contracts at the club is another problem Peter Wallace and Junior Tia Kilfi should have both been signed up before the 2007 and 2009 season started both had impressed immensely in the lower grades and good judges (not at Penrith) had these two destined for bigger honours. And last but not least the handling of Paul Aiton contract was a disgrace he was offered less than what he was currently on and we made
to feel unwanted, watch him shine under Ricky Stuart next Year.
The Coach Elliott has proven time and time again that he cant coach an Nrl side some of his team selections over the past three years have been baffling to say the least and as for his master game plans over the years they wouldn't trick a two year old.
The Players Elliott and Leary have moulded this squad are both to blame for it there are to many players alike Smith, Cooper, Blair we can only afford to have one of these players in the starting side not all three.
I can't wait to see our front row next year at this stage it's just Petero and Bell and the inconsistent Tim Grant.
You wouldn't run a business like this so why should we put up with second best all the time.
