The way he was treated at Newcastle left alot to be desired. He was told he wasn't good enough, but Danny Wicks was.

Dont worry mate, you won me over, Bellamy can obviously coach and identied you as a talent where as Brian Smith aka God, Super coach, the messiah by the Newy fans saw you as crap.

Clint you played a great game when it matters most, a sign of a good player. Most players would've given it away after the sh*t you copped, but the cream definately rose to the top tonight.

Josh Perry will probably experience the samething next year.

Correction RJ.................Newton was NEVER told he wasnt good enough, he was told that if he wanted to be in Smiths plans for next season that he had to show his worth...............to which his response was "stuff you I KNOW HOW GOOD I AM" why should I, CLINT NEWTON have to prove myself

not sure if that was sarcasm but look Brian hasn't had a great record getting sides over that final hurdle but as far as coaches who can take a side from wooden spooners to being perenial finalists and capable of making the grand final there are fewer better coaches

When he scored i felt sick in the guts.

Ditto. And thanking his team-mates? What a merkin. The ESL is too good for him. I hear there are clubs in Russia who could use a self obsessed wanker.

I bet you were cheering for Jamie Lyon just as hard.

No he was told to look elsewhere, that's why he left.
