Sep 13 - The NSWRL has congratulated Penrith on winning the NSW Rugby League Club Championship.
No matter what happens between now and then, Penrith will get a trophy on Grand Final Day.
Immediately after the presentation to the winning Premier League side, the Flowers Memorial Pennant will be presented to Penrith. The Pennant was first presented 68 years ago in memory of a former president of the NSWRL, the Hon. Fred Flowers MLC.
It is the first time Penrith has ever won the Club Championship, which is based on performances in the four NSWRL competitions - Harold Matthews Cup (U16), SG Ball (U18), Jersey Flegg (U20) and Premier League. Penrith finished the season seven points clear of the second-placed Bulldogs.
